Story
In just two short years, Parker has known nothing but abandonment and heartbreak. He deserved love, stability, and a family, but instead he’s been handed one disappointment after another. We rescued Parker in January 2025 after he sat in a rural shelter for over a year waiting for someone to pick him. Sadly, shortly after arriving, we lost his foster and couldn't find anyone willing to take him in, despite our endless pleas for help. Unfortunately, for the last seven months, Parker has been living in a crate at our trainers barn because we haven’t had a single foster or adopter come forward for him. It devastates us. Parker is not unwanted because he’s a “bad dog.” He just hasn’t been given a real chance. Being a foster-based rescue means that without a foster or adopter, we’re out of options and after already spending nearly 20K on boarding and training costs, we cannot afford to do this much longer...and Parker deserves so much more than this. Parker is a 2.5-year-old, 60 lb. pit bull/cattle dog/Great Pyrenees mix who’s goofy, loyal, and full of love. He is treat-motivated and eager to learn, forming strong bonds quickly and always wanting to be by your side. Parker loves walks, adventures, and playtime — especially when toys or zoomies are involved! He’s got plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life, but also enjoys just hanging out with his favorite people. He has made tremendous progress after completing a three month long training program, but he still needs a confident, committed handler who understands him. His ideal home would be with teens and up, with no young kids. He'd be fine with another dog, but it must be the right one. Parker would likely not be suitable for a home with cats. This boy deserves a chance — he’s worked so hard and come so far. We’re begging for a miracle. If you can open your heart and home to Parker, even temporarily, please reach out — his life depends on it. His adoption fee is WAIVED thanks to a generous donor and Parker is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. • Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/200883908893166 • Foster application: https://form.jotform.com/200857847444161

Story
Meet Tripp, a one-year-old, 45 lb. pittie mix with the most stunning golden eyes and a luscious chocolate-brown coat you won’t be able to resist. Tripp’s journey began when he was found wandering outside a dollar store, but thanks to a kindhearted Good Samaritan, he made his way to safety—and now he’s ready to find the furever family he deserves! Tripp is truly the whole package. He loves everyone he meets, including kids and other dogs. In fact, he’s such a rockstar with other pups that the shelter used him to help evaluate new dogs. Their trainer said, “He’s the best and a star-tester dog!” Sweet, social, and endlessly affectionate, Tripp is the kind of companion who brings joy wherever he goes. He’s also a well-mannered gentleman—quiet in his kennel, respectful, and housetrained. While our rescue is foster-based, Tripp is currently residing at Central Bark in Danbury, where he enjoys daily playgroups with other pups and has an absolute blast. He’s ready to join a family who can offer him plenty of love—and a fenced yard would be a big bonus for this playful boy! His adoption fee is $400 and Tripp is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this handsome guy, please complete our online application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. If you have any questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
LOLA IS CURRENTLY IN BOARDING & NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP Meet Lola, a one-year-old, 55 lb. pittie sweetheart who is smart, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people. She came to us after being posted online with the heartbreaking caption: “Free dog. Need to get rid of her.” We immediately stepped in to make sure she was safe, and since then, Lola has shown us just how special she truly is — loving, loyal, and eager to please — despite the instability she has already endured in her short life. Lola is young, energetic, and thrives on companionship and engagement. She previously lived in a foster home with other dogs, children, and even a bird and has done well with everyone. Lola bonds deeply with her person and wants nothing more than to be close, whether that means cuddling on the couch, following you from room to room, or simply being nearby. She is a natural protector and finds comfort in knowing her person is close. She is crate trained, house trained, food motivated, and loves learning. Lola knows sit and paw and is working on lay down (sometimes with so much excitement she rolls right onto her back). She redirects easily and responds well to training, especially when given reassurance and clear guidance. Because of the instability she’s experienced, Lola does have separation anxiety and is protective of her person so she needs patience and consistency to help her understand she is safe. A secure 6 ft. or higher fenced yard is recommended, as Lola has jumped fences in the past simply to stay close to her humans. Right now, Lola is stuck in a kennel in boarding, which is incredibly hard on a dog who just wants to be with her people. She urgently needs a foster or adopter ASAP who can give her stability, reassurance, and the chance she has been waiting for. Lola’s adoption fee is $400 and she is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you can foster or adopt Lola and give her the loving home she deserves, please apply at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. Questions? Email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
