- An absolute goofball who loves to go on adventures and is always curious about new things - Super friendly and loves getting pets from everyone she meets! - Loves stuffed toys, tennis balls, bones, lick mats and KONGs - Enjoys ice cream as a treat and is always happy to get a pup cup- Loves going on walks and explore; does best with a harness- Has done well when passing other dogs on walks and has not barked at them - Smart lady, already knows sit, down and place and is working on learning shake - Does GREAT traveling in the car and will hop right in for an adventure! - Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time with her human companions: "Cali is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and thrives on cuddles and connection. She's playful, loves toys, and a good game of fetch, but she's just as happy lounging and soaking up attention." - Foster family says she has done great when left home alone; does not seem to enjoy her kennel and may try to get out - Has been working on potty training in her foster home, but will need some help from her new family to get to 100% - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her, but has done great with a slightly older child in her foster home - Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs and would do best as the only dog in her new home- Has been diagnosed with medial patellar luxation of the left knee (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Story
- A cuddle bug in bed; wants to lie right next to you and will steal all the pillows - Playful and still has a good amount of puppy energy - Gives the biggest hugs - Always excited to meet a new friend - Knows sit and got a good start on off and down in his foster home; has good recall and is very food-motivated and eager to learn when snacks are involved - he'll catch treats in the air, too!- Rides well in the car and will jump right in when you open the door - Can be a puller so a harness is ideal for walks, and his foster family said he walked nicely for them with that- Did well kenneled and free-roaming for short periods of time when his foster family was gone - Was fully housetrained in his foster home and would circle the area and start to whimper when he needed to go out; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine - Struggled with overarousal in his foster home when he got too excited, but was very gentle about his mouthiness; hasn't quite figured out that hands aren't toys or that they don't always have food in them - Plays hard and will do best in a home where all family members are old enough and mature enough to enjoy his energy- Was indifferent and preferred not to interact with dogs in his foster home, and in the shelter he has been socially awkward and avoidant with other dogs; to set him up for success, he needs to be the only dog in his home right now- We don't know his history with cats - Not all that big of a dog and has fairly short legs, which make him extra cute This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program.
