Meet Ollie, an adorable pitbull mix who loves people other large dogs. He can be a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he turns into a huge cuddle bug. He loves to cuddle up on the couch to watch TV with his people, but can also be active and fun. He's obsessed with toys--balls, stuffies, chew bones, tug toys, every kind! He especially loves anything that squeeks and loves to destroy stuffed toys. He is very athletic and would excel at agility or flyball or would be great for an active person or family. He would love to run and hike with his new family and loves water too! He would love a puppy pool in the summer and would love to go to the lake or river with you too! He loves to play fetch and would love a large fenced yard to play in. He loves playing with other large dogs and would especially love a pretty female companion. He does need a home with no small animals or livestock. He's learning commands, but still gets very excited around his favorite people and is still learning not to jump up to give kisses, so he would be best in a family with older kids. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2403287##
