He would be sad if he bumped into them and knocked them over. Leo is fine with cats and willing to have them as family members. Penny is seriously the easiest dog. She is so many things: a dog park dog, a play-by-herself dog, a go-fetch dog, a great people dog, a snuggle-in-bed dog, a go-for-a-walk dog... She is a beautiful copper 1-year-old pittie mix, thick lady who was found as a stray. She's got just the right amount of energy - she loves to play and have a good time, but after playing with a toy for a while (either with you throwing it, or with her pushing it around the house herself, SO cute!), or a half-mile walk, she'll be ready for some snoozing and cuddling. Penny is a low to medium energy kind of gal. She soaks in your attention and loves without being demanding about it. We mentioned toys, and we have to tell you that she loves any and absolutely every latex-type toy. We can't stress enough that that is her personality trait - give her a toy and someone to toss it to her (even if it's 2 feet away), and Penny is the happiest girl! She is friendly with other dogs, mostly with those smaller than her 66-pound self, but she runs with all of the dogs, especially at the dog park or off-leash. Penny would be great with just about any person or couple. She might do best with kids who are 8 or older in the home, but she does fine around all kids when she's out and about. She does great on a leash. This girl is the sweetest soul, and she will fill your cup with joy every day you're around her. Odin is a 1.5 year old American pitbull terrier, and he is quite the dreamboat! Don't let the good looks deceive you, though. He's not all beauty and no brains! This boy is very treat motivated, which means he is a blank slate ready to learn what you're willing to teach him! Odin is still a puppy, so there are things he still needs to learn. However; he is smart and we know he will catch on quickly! Odin has lived with another dog and loves her! At his foster home, Odin eats in his kennel, because he thinks he is in a real-life game of "Hungry Hungry Hippos. The only problem with that is that the other dogs in the home are not aware that they are a part of this game and are sore losers. Odin is potty trained and crate trained! While he hates goodbyes, he very quickly remembers that "goodbyes" are actually just "see ya laters:! Odin loves walks and does really well walking with a harness on! His harness is his favorite fashion accessory and he loves wearing it! (Adorable, right?!) Odin loves to snuggle and will sleep cuddled up to you if you let him. He loves people, but just takes a minute to warm up to them. Once he knows he can trust you, you've already become his best pal! Odin can be startled by sudden movements and loud noises, so we would recommend that any children in the home be older children. Did you know Aspen means "Shield"? Well, this boy certainly needed one and it came in the form of a caring neighbor. You see, the first part of Aspen's life was not so wonderful. This sweet boy was a victim of severe abuse. He endured this horrific treatment day in and day out...UNTIL...thank goodness there is an until, Aspen's neighbor acted and reported the abuse. This neighbor could NOT let this abuse go on any longer. They pulled out their camera and captured what poor Aspen was dealing with each day, pure violence against him. The video was turned over to the police and this "person was arrested and Aspen was saved! Now for the rest of his story. Aspen is a true athlete! He loves to play, jump, and tumble with his doggie friends. Due to his athletic ability, he is better suited with doggie friends of his size and athletic abilities. No littles, furry friends, or small kiddos for this boy. He is certainly making up for lost doggie fun time. Even though a human failed him, he is still very eager to please his people. Aspen knows to do his business outside and has no issues with his crate. In fact, when it is time to be let out of his crate, if you do not come to him, he will scoot his crate to YOU! Smart boy.
