Story
EVY (formerly Harley;name was changed only because I already have a dog named Harley) is a 55-lb American Pocket Bully, approximately 5,6 years old. She is a loving, people-oriented couch dog who does great with older children, including my kids and neighborhood kids. I took her in to help her breeder, but the breeder has since moved and is unable to take her back. Due to my recent divorce, hysterectomy recovery, financial strain, and managing multiple dogs, I can no longer provide the environment EVY needs. She gets along well with two of my dogs but has shown aggression toward one dogs and they do not cohabitate safely despite management efforts. Because of this, EVY may do best as an only dog or with an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and introductions. Cat compatibility is unknown. She enjoys walks and outdoor time but loves to stay indoors, she is a princess! The breeder stated her vaccinations were up to date likely need updated and spayed.

Story
Maybe you can help us solve a little mystery: Why hasn’t Scrappy Doo had any serious applications in almost a year? Let's unmask the mystery, like Scrappy's namesake cartoon, and turn this puzzle into a satisfactory ending for our guy. Scrappy Doo is a happy, playful, social dude who likes everyone he meets – human or dog. He is good with kids, and he is fun and pretty adorable with that charming smile of his. He is about 3 years old, weighs just under 60 lbs. and is a Pittie/Mastiff Cane Corso mix. He came into foster because someone witnessed one of his previous people physically hurting our sweet guy. In spite of how he was treated, Scrappy sees the best in people and is one of those triumphant spirits who has his compass firmly pointed in the direction of living his best life and never looking back. He has the most endearing bow legs, and his ears make different decisions every day about which way to point. He loves his toys and his friends, and just wants to have a good time. After playtime, he likes to cuddle up with his people and snuggle right in. He likes to play and mix it up with other dogs, and he definitely gets along with all of them. Recently we’ve discovered that some of his previous mistreatment may have physically affected him more than we realized. So, he should live with a dog(s) who he can banter with but maybe not play too rough and tumble, so he doesn’t get hurt. Or, he’d do great as an only dog too, so you can dote on him every day. He is house trained and crate trained and knows how to behave around the house, like every good sidekick should. None of those clues above have helped us understand why Scrappy has lingered in foster for this long – what do you think? He’s just a regular guy looking for a regular furever home where he’ll be appreciated for the rest of his life. Is that your home? Scrappy Doo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175. Story
Helen came to us shortly after losing one of our pups. She was found roaming a busy cross street as a puppy. Unfortunately, no one came to claim her so we took her in! She has some behavioral opportunities- mouthing when overstimulated. With basic training or even more activity, Helen would be the perfect pet! She has been around children (ages 5-18) and we haven’t had any issues! Younger children and babies are unknown. The main reason we are looking for a new, loving home is due to dominance with our smaller, older pet. We only have females at the house, males may be okay. She chases and scruffs cats so would NOT recommend a home with cats! Helen loves to cuddle, she’s a couch potato for sure! She is crate trained, food/treat motivated, loves being buried under blankets, and LOVES toys! We believe she would be perfect in a single pet home or potentially with larger breeds (males). As heartbreaking as letting her go will be, we think she’ll make someone truly happy!

🐱🐱Cat-friendly 🐱🐱 Maybe you already have a sister, or maybe you don’t, but it’s not too late to gain one! My name is Sister Girl, and I’d like to be the next member of your family. I don’t have to be a sibling, though – I can be the kid or the bonus parent, or whoever you need me to be. No rivalries from me, just acceptance, love and friendship. I love people and am a social lady. I like my squeaky toys and enjoy going on walks. Take me along wherever you’re going, because car rides are a favorite pastime for me. Once I’ve collected pets, belly rubs and scratches from all the people and wagged my tail all over town, I’d love to come home and snuggle on your lap or right next to you. I love those smaller people you call kids too – I think they deserve extra kisses from me just for being cute. I am about 3 years old, and I weigh 50 pounds. I’m a grown-up girl, so I know how to do things like sit and stay, and I don’t make messes or get into stuff that’s not mine around the house. I like to do fun stuff like play fetch, go for walks and maybe chase a squirrel or two in the backyard – hey, you don’t know how annoying those little things are! But I also am good at lounging with my people when they watch that TV. I want to please you and be your best girl, so I’m always listening and trying my best to do as you ask. I don’t mind cats at all – I get along with them just fine. I prefer to be the only dog around the house, which won’t affect you at all if you don’t have other dogs. We’ll just be buddies, and I’ll show you all my love, protect you and make your world happier. I’m really a gentle soul who just wants to be your ride or die. Sister Girl is house trained, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She’ll come to you current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $175. Story
🌠 🌠 Here is the affectionate family pup you’re looking for! 🌠 🌠 Her name is Linda Blair, and she will be a 🏆 prize 🏆 to whoever adopts her, her foster family says 🥰🥰 With her red mahogany coloring and fairly petite frame, Linda is an eye-catching young lady. She is 9 months old, a pittie mix, and she’ll likely stay under 40 pounds. She would love a home with lots of adoring attention and cuddling, because she has been showered with snuggles and love in her foster home. She’s friendly and goofy and fun, and just so darn cute, inside and out. Her temperament and personality are hard to beat. Linda is good on the leash, easy to handle for walks. She knows sit and shake, and she’s perfecting wait and stay. She is also crate trained, and she’s making good progress with house training. Just a puppy, but look at all that she can do already! She’s terrific with kids, and she loves to play with other dogs. Invite everyone over for a good time, and Linda will fit right in and make it even more of a party with her sparkling, lovey dovey personality. Linda gets zoomies and has short bursts of puppy energy, and she won’t be a super high-energy dog. That’s because she loves chilling and snuggling next to her people on the couch and the bed. She sleeps well in her crate at night – though she’d probably love to curl up with you and hog your bed, if you’d like. She’d make a great new sister to an older dog sibling, if they’re looking for a playmate, but that’s not required. Linda Blair is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. She’ll also be current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention when she comes home with you. Her adoption fee is $175. Will you be the one who wins the 🥇 🥇 prize of having Linda as your girl? Apply to adopt her today at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Some of us like to talk a big game about exercising regularly, getting our steps in and maybe even going for long hikes. But we’re just talking the talk. What we really wanna do is stay home and pet our dog. Well, guess what? Dreams can come true. You can have all of this lifestyle, including the dog part, if you adopt Mango. He’ll listen to you talk all about the activities you *could* be doing, and he’ll be just as happy to stay put and let you pet him all you want. 🥭🥭 Mango 🥭🥭 is a 2-year-old sweet boy who weighs about 65 pounds, and he likes a walk and does great on a leash. But he’s not gonna initiate any kind of big physical activity, and he’s definitely not gonna force it. So, lazy dog walkers, unite! Mango is super gentle and a bit timid, and all he wants is some love and affection. Maybe a scratch ahhhh right there, and maybe some nice pets, and he’ll be a really happy dude. He’ll cuddle right in with you, and nothing bad can ever come of it. The only time you might see Mango get serious about expending energy is when there is a stuffie toy anywhere within a 50-foot radius of him. That stuffie must die! And it must die now. So, all of your stuffie enemies will be kept at bay, and Mango would love for you to reward him with a Kong or a treat puzzle. Seems more than fair. He gets along fine with people and with other dogs. He might take a bit to warm up, because he’s such a polite dude who doesn’t want to overwhelm anyone with his kindness. But then, he’ll fit right in with the flow and be a part of the crew. At night, he sleeps soundly in bed with his person(s). Mango is house trained, and he’s crate trained – though he can be left out of the crate once he’s comfortable in the home, and he does just fine. Mango is the perfect guy to fit in, whether you want to go DO the big game or just talk the big game. He sees it all as a win-win, when he’s with his favorite peeps. The real winner is you, though, if you decide to adopt him 🏆 🥭 Mango is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up-to-date on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175. To meet him, get approved to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🐕Apply at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕
