Story
HOSPICE HERO NEEDED! Tobin has less than 3 months to live. He has been in our care for over a year and a half and has not found a foster or adopter yet. Tobin needs a very special home with no other pets or where he can be separated and rotated with other pets. Tobin can also be slow to warm up to new people, especially men - so he needs a home with no kids and preferably only women. Tobin has a long list of requirements, but he only has a short time left on this earth. Please please consider being his hero. He is so incredibly silly and has the goofiest smile as he waddles around. His arthritis has progressed to the point that he does not get around much and his cancer spots can no longer be operated on. He just needs a calm place to spend his final days.

Story
Meet Legacy! This poor girl was sentenced to death after a minor bite incident that led to a shelter deeming her a "potentially dangerous dog." It was reported that she escaped her yard and ran up to a passerby in a friendly and playful manner, but when they turned to walk away she jumped up and bit at them. An Oklahoma rescue stepped forward to save her life and we thought she was safe, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. On the freedom ride to the other rescue, their foster bailed and the rescue said they no longer could take Legacy, leaving the volunteer transporter with no where to take this poor girl. The rescue suggested the transporter have Legacy euthanized. Terrified and confused, Legacy came into our care instead. She cannot be with other dogs and can be slow to warm to new people (although she is easily won over with cheese.) Legacy needs time to know she is going to be okay, because life is very scary sometimes and she has had a very rough time lately. She is a happy, loving, protective, and committed dog, and will be all the love you ever need. She is phenomenal in the car and loves to go on rides. Walkies are also one of her favorite things on the planet. Need a cuddle buddy? This potato will have no complaints filling that space on your couch. She also loves to play chase and tug-of-war. As beautiful as she is on the outside, she has scars-both physical and those unseen. She is pretty easily won over with some mozzarella sticks, but a deep bond takes time, and once she trusts you with her whole self, watch out, because this is 65 lbs of pure love. You can see it shine in her eyes, just this deep, complete love. She is not overly hyper. She is not good with dogs, cats, small children, or vacuums. She had a foster for a long time, who loved her deeply but eventually couldn't keep rotating her own dogs with Legacy's need to be the only pup out. Legacy loved her foster immediately, but took some time to warm up to her husband. Once Legacy was comfortable in their home, she didn't want any visitors to come over ever. Her fosters worked hard to introduce her to visitors in their home. Legacy also went to a month-long training to work on her dog reactivity and meeting new people. Now she is back with us and our trainer works with her daily, so far she has loved all our staff! She is slower to warm to blonde women though. Legacy's life matters, she deserves a chance to be loved, please consider loving her like we do.

Story
Meet Trike! Trike got his name because when we pulled him from the kill shelter, he had a mangled front foot that looked so atrocious that we were positive it would need to be amputated. However, the vets worked miracles and were able save it!! He is still undergoing daily bandage changes and medication to avoid infection and reduce swelling, but he's come so far. He is just a puppy who is a little shy but very sweet and seems to be dog friendly. He would prefer a home where he won't be left alone very often as he is afraid of being abandoned again.

Story
Meet Albus! This poor baby was found as a stray completely starved and nearly bald from neglect. His face is extremely swollen and the vets determined that it is due to a bone overgrowth that should recede with time and good nutrition. Other than that, he is a happy little guy who loves food and people and would love a home even more. It's likely that he has never known a home before in his short, sad life. We are continuing his medical care and just need to find a home to love him in the meantime!

Story
This is Titan. He is a 3 year old male, pit bull mix. He is very snuggly and loving with his people. He is energetic, but also just loves to lay in the sun and sleep. He has been great around our baby since day 1. He is neutered, housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands. Titan loves to love and be loved by his people! He has anxiety about loud noises and new people and tends to be aggressive with those he doesn’t know. If there is food he can reach on the counter, he’ll grab it when you’re not looking. He is a very sweet boy and just wants to make his people happy. I was unable to add more photos, so if you'd like to see more just contact me.

Story
Meet Wiley! This sweet senior boy is a true gentle giant. He stands very tall but has lived a hard life that's left him extremely skinny and slow on his old bones. Wiley spends his days sleeping and moseying around. He is as sweet as they come, indifferent to other dogs for the most part and very loving with all people. He loves to give kisses even though he has some stinky old man breathe but you can't help but love him anyways. His foster says he is fully potty trained. He currently eats 6 cups of food a day to try and put some weight on.

Story
Meet Dorothy! This sweet girl lost her home when her owner went to jail and she was left in a hotel room by herself. She is on the smaller side, weighing only 36 pounds, and uses a wheelchair due to an old spinal injury. She currently has a UTI that we are treating and a heart murmur. Her previous foster said "Dorothy is very quiet and timid, not quite interested in human touch just yet but she just got here today. She could add a little weight on her and has an old spinal injury which is resulting in her hind end paralysis. She is very good at scooting around but has some sores. I set up her kennel and she went in there immediately, it's her safe space!"

Story
Meet Espresso! Unfortunately we will never know this sweet old man's past, other than he was found as a stray and taken to a kill shelter where he was euth listed only because of his age. The only dog in an empty row they decided wasn't worth living and to walk down the hall and never return. We could not let that be his fate. Since being with us, this sweet old man has ready made a few doggie friends and does his best to keep up with the playful younger pups. Espresso is mostly concerned with any person wiling to give him a little affection. He is so thankful to be given a second chance at life and would love to be yours furever.
