She has bitten when panicked, as when she got tangled in her tether. With an experienced, athletic owner, Emma could be a wonderful dog! I'm a senior citizen , and she needs more exercise than my slow walks give her. Emma is on meds for a skin allergy. Otherwise, she is in perfect health.

While we never planned to adopt, a clerical mix-up ended with Lucy being officially signed over to us. Although we adore her, we want to help her find the home that fits her needs perfectly. Lucy is a year old and has been with us for the last eight months. She has been wonderful with our two small children and has an affectionate demeanor. She’s also an athletic, energetic dog who loves to play, explore, and be part of family activities. She would thrive in a home where she can get regular exercise, playtime, and daily walks. Lucy is smart, eager to learn, and would make an amazing companion for an active individual or family. Adopted from spca. She is a very sweet girl but doe not get along with our other dogs. She lost her leg as a puppy falling off a deck as a puppy according to the shelter but does not slow her down. Loves walks and she also loves meeting new people. She has great personality and has some funny quirks. She is a little clumsy and slips due to her missing leg. Does not stairs . She went through training and knows sit heel stay and place . I would love to keep her but can’t because she doesn’t get along with outher other dog. New owner must loving and caring. She is a great companion . I want her to have the best home with a caring people who will love her and give her a forever home

After being neglected as a puppy, placed in an inappropriate home environment, and then a year in witness pawtection with his trainer, its time for Ortlund to find a new family. If you are looking for a partner through life’s struggles and healing this pup might be a good fit for you. He has had a significant amount of trauma in his life that he is healing from. He has made strides in his healing process and is ready to start looking for his forever home. He will need someone who is ready and willing to navigate the remainder of his healing with him and is willing for him to make a slow transition into your home working side by side with his trainer. While continuing to heal he has also learned some wonderful things. He knows basic obedience, he also knows how to maintain specific boundaries given in different environments, he excels at leash walking even in a distracted environment. He loves his trips to Home-depot, Petsmart, and DC. He will need consistent exposure to different environments, does great with other dogs and cats if he is slowly introduced to them, and loves to go trail running. He is named after Dane Ortlund who wrote gentle and lowly. He is a gentle dog who has suffered greatly and needs a loving, patient, and compassionate home.
