Story
Taylor Pit, a three year old 57 pound solid brick of a low rider girl, absolutely LOVES her people! Taylor is living happily with her Foster's two bully mixes, but we know she would also thrive as your one-and-only best companion ever. She has SO much love to give whoever is lucky enough to bring her home! Taylor rocked her recent vacation to the beach for what we suspect was her first time seeing the ocean, and she will happily be your ride or die on any and all road trips. In Taylor's world nothing's better than a good couch snuggle - she has mastered the art of potato-ing! - as close to you as possible, all the time, and for as much time as you have to s spend couch-ing with her. She is wonderful on a lead with her pack members but reactive when she sees dogs she doesn't know - she's working on this - so she would love a quiet home without a lot of environmental activity and ideally a fenced yard. This amazing girl is housebroken and crate trained and great loose in the house - ready to complete your family. Apply now! Taylor Pit is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Gee is the epitome of a distinguished gentleman. He carries himself with grace and charm, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle demeanor. He particularly enjoys belly rubs and snuggles, reveling in the affection and attention of his human companions. Gee thrives in serene environments where he can relax and enjoy the company of those he loves. He also has a mind of his own, making sure that you know he expects certain things- like treats after he comes inside- keep up, people! He is quiet as a mouse but also will let you know when it's time to take a break from what you're doing and give him some attention. Gee is looking for a home with limited stairs or an apartment building with an elevator, as he prefers to avoid a large number of stairs due to his age and some arthritis. He would thrive in a household where he can enjoy leisurely walks and relaxation. He's good with kids, dogs and cats and would do best with someone who can appreciate his refined nature and provide him with the love and attention he deserves. Trust us, it's not hard to want to be that person once you meet him! Gee is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
Meet the P puppies! These velvety soft pittie Great Dane mixes (our best guess) are eight weeks old and thriving in a loving foster home with their mama Keeley. They are happy, active, playful pups who are growing quickly and learning how to be good pups from Keeley and their foster family, including dogs and cats. Polo is the smallest of his litter and the quietest - a very chill puppy. He thinks his siblings have vastly underestimated the appeal of power naps; after play he's the first to go into the pen and grab a prim napping spot. This adorable boy and his sibs are available to go home the weekend of April 12. The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Pilot is happily growing and thriving in a loving foster home with his mama Keeley. He is an active, playful pup who is learning how to be good a good boy from Keeley and his foster family of dogs and cats. Pilot was the biggest of his litter and he is an independent alpha boy. Keeley is a gorgeous two year old Dane mix - 74 pounds of super hero mama dog. This girl is as sweet and affectionate as they come - loves all people and plays nicely with the resident dogs. Keeley is SO ready for a forever family of her own. Apply now for this special girl! Story
I Adopted Molly from a local animal shelter in 2015 when she was 4 years old. From what I was told from the animal shelter at the time is that she used to breed by terrible backyard breeders in a crowded space. For Molly's next home I would like for her to be with someone who is somewhat active outdoors so that she can run around and play more than what I was able to do with her the past couple years. Molly does love adults and food so she would be the worst guard dog. (SHE DOES NOT GET ALONG WITH OTHER DOGs) (NOT SURE IF SHE IS GOOD WITH KIDS, I WOULD RATHER NOT RISK IT)

Story
Meet Meadow! Meadow is a 2-month-old Pit mix who is sweet as sugar. She is a friendly pup who is great with other dogs, loves all people, and is young enough to learn how to live with cats. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed when she is 6 months old. This dog's adoption fee is $400. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months. Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or townhomes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Zena hasn't met you yet, but she already adores you, your spouse, your parents, your children, your neighbors, and your neighbors' children. She loves making new friends (humans and dogs), belly rubs, walks, cuddles, and hot dogs! She greets everyone at the door with a smile, and we have never even heard her bark. She is social and was previously in a home with another dog. She will do well in a home with another dog or with humans who appreciate affection as much as she does. Zena knows basic commands such as sit and come. She is working on her leash skills, and she is always eager to please someone with hot dogs in hand.

Story
Male, approx. 1 year old, 49 lbs Personality: playful, goofy/funny, affectionate, eager-to-please, adventurous, easygoing, loyal, good running partner, outgoing, smart, snuggler, brave, and adaptable. Are you looking for a smart, sweet, and affectionate boy in one? Meet Aaron, a lovable, super friendly dog who welcomes all humans and dogs! He loves to say hello and lean in for pets or kisses, but he might be a little too enthusiastic for baby humans just yet. For shyer puppy friends, Aaron knows to take a step back and walk alongside them instead of playing hard. This smart boy learned the word "sit" in one session and can do it anywhere. He also hasn't had any accidents in the house. Aaron is very eager to please, which has helped with his training. During play time, he might get his hands on human things, but he can be redirected with a dog toy. Aaron has typical puppy energy and thrives with long walks and time to play with food puzzles, licky mats and snuffle mats. That said, Aaron is crated overnight and can stay there alone or through a good chunk of the workday as he waits for his foster humans to close their laptops. Aaron does well with his resident dog sister and respects her boundaries. Apply today to learn more about this easygoing guy! ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 66#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash-trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Jazzie is a beautiful, energetic, AKC pure-bred English Bulldog. She loves to play with her ball and bone and run around the yard. She is not your typical lazy bulldog, she's a real bundle of energy (until she's worn out, that is). She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and is getting better on her leash. Unfortunately for us, Jazzie does not get along with our oldest daughter, but she is fine with our two younger children. It's not Jazzie's fault, and she does fine with everybody else. This is a difficult decision and we are going to miss her so much. Please give Jazzie a chance to show you how great she can be!

Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Prim-at-a-glance: 1-1/2 year old, female, spayed, Boxer/Terrier mix, 45 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Prim takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Prim was abandoned by her owners at a boarding facility that was doing her training.  Prim is now in a LOVEPAWS foster home and she is a delight to have around!  She responds to basic commands such as sit, stay and shake hands.  Prim could use more experience socializing with other dogs in a low-key environment as she is quite vocal when she sees other dogs on her walks around town, however, she is easy to walk on the leash.  Once she's given the opportunity to get that leash unhooked in a safe, fenced area she loves to run and run as fast as she can. Zoom, zoom, zoom! When it's time to settle down inside the house, squeaky toys are her favorite.  Well, food and treats are her favorite, but then squeaky toys if no food is being offered. Prim would do best in a home with a fenced yard so she can run to her heart's content. She's cautious meeting new people and while adults understand to take it slow, young kids may try to rush the BFF thing so older, respectful kids would be a better fit. She hasn't been tested with cats.  Prim can be shy and skittish but she is gentle and loving and makes a great movie or game-watching couch buddy. Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!April 17, 2024, 7:47 pm
