Story
Say hello to Chop—a handsome hunk of love who’s ready for a fresh start and a forever home that won’t leave him hanging. Chop’s first year of life was… well, a bit chopped up. He was left in someone else’s care, never picked up, surrendered, reclaimed, scheduled for a neuter and pickup… and then ghosted again. Through it all, Chop has kept his tail wagging and his heart open. Now neutered and ready to go, Chop is looking for an active, committed home where he can finally put down roots. He’s a fun, energetic guy who would thrive with someone who enjoys walks, playtime, and giving him a healthy outlet for all that young-dog enthusiasm. Chop may do well with teens and older kids, is dog selective, and while we’re unsure how he’d do with cats, a dog-savvy cat might be a possibility with proper introductions. Most importantly, Chop is looking for stability—someone who won’t disappear, who will show up for him every single day, and who’s willing to take a chance on a dog who truly deserves it. He’s ready to chop ties with his past and serve up a future full of consistency, love, and belonging. If you’re ready to commit, stay, and give Chop the solid home he’s been missing—he’s ready to meet you.

Story
Duchess is an 11 year-old female mixed breed. Duchess is a friendly old girl who still has a lot of pep in her step! She loves to get out for walks with her volunteer friends, and motors along like she’s half her age. She came to the shelter with her little buddy Jackie Boy, a pint sized Chihuahua, so we think she could live with a smaller dog, but she says no thanks to bigger dogs We would love to get this senior gal out of the shelter and into a quiet home as soon as possible so she can rest easy, so let’s share her info and get her adopted this week! Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process

Story
Meet Tim! This cutie is a 1 year old bully breed mix. We won`t lie to you, Tim is A LOT of dog! He is big, he is strong, and he is still learning how to be a gentleman. This guy would heavily benefit from somebody with lots of energy to burn with him, and willing to bring him to some basic training classes. He has a blast running around our play yard and going on adventures with some of our volunteers.Tim would do best with dog-savvy teens+ due to his size, energy & mild lack of manners. If he was to live with a dog, it would have to be one his size & just as energetic, and patient due to him not taking the hint from our other dogs that he is being too much. We think it would be best he did not live with small animals such as cats or ones that live in enclosures. Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you`re prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet young puppy Bocce. This is a happy go lucky guy with a lot of energy. He loves to entertain himself with toys and is really good walking on aleash. Oh, dont let that adorable face fool you. This puppy will requirea bit more training with polite greetings and to use that puppy mouthappropriately. Luckily, Bocce loves his snacks and will train for cookies. This good boy is looking to join a low traffic home with older kids only tohelp him become his best self. The best situation would be if he could livewith an older, patient dog that will teach him the ropes. Here at theshelter, he has enjoyed play dates with other dogs. We have no history ofwhat Bocce thinks of cats, so a dog-savvy cat would be a possibility.Does Bocce sound like the pup for you? If so, please head to the MethuenMSPCA location Tuesday-Sunday between the hours of 12PM-3PM!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Her foster called her an absolute angel. Meet Mirage. She is gentle, sweet and low energy. A favorite pastime is napping on the couch. Mirage also enjoys leisurely walks and walking with her mellow dog friends. Pretty Mirage takes treats very gently and seems to be house trained. And she really, really loves to be pet by her new best friends. Since Mirage was found as a stray, we do not know any of her back story. We do think she could probably live with a calm dog or a dog-savvy cat. And children old enough to participate in training should also work. With all the recent changes to her life, Mirage will probably need some time to decompress and settle into her new home. Does this good girl sound like the dog for you?
