Story
🌟 Meet Rango! 🌟 He’s a bundle of love wrapped in fur with floppy ears! and he’s pure joy from head to toe! Rango was born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, more commonly known as “Wobbly Cat Syndrome” in cats. His case is considered severe, he can’t walk but that doesn’t slow him down! Rango scoots, rolls, and wiggles his way to whatever (or whoever) he wants! You've never seen a puppy scoot so fast as you will when Rango sees food! Rango’s playful, vocal, and an expert snuggler. He has a big personality, a happy heart, and a whole lot of love to give. Rango reminds me every day that different doesn’t mean broken, it means extra special. I think Rango could fit in with any family that has the time to give, he does need a lot of attention. He loves everyone and everything! He hasn't been around children yet but he does great with adults and other animals.

Story
I arrived at the shelter as a stray so not much is known about my history. I do have heartworms and staff can speak with you about my treatment if you are interested in adopting me. I am a beautiful, friendly girl and I did really well with staff handling me for my intake process (exam, vaccines, etc.).In North Carolina, it`s unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It`s usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly. With your support, OCAS can help more dogs with this disease - resulting in healthier dogs that are even more likely to get adopted. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign.INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Lala and I went for a pup cup and a short walk.Lala seemed to know the pup cup was for her as soon as I had it in my hand. She loved it! She was very gentle when licking the pup cup and taking other treats. She rode well in the car and spent her time looking out the window or lying down. During our walk she loved sniffing her surroundings, keeping her nose on the ground most of the time. She was great at following my lead when we needed to change directions. Although she looks strong, she didn’t pull much at all and was VERY easy to handle. We saw a couple of other dogs and she seemed interested and curious. She pulled a tiny bit, but was easy to redirect and didn’t seem reactive. Overall she was such a sweet and easy going girl and seems like she would be a great fit pretty much anywhere.`

Story
My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!Hi There! Benny Boy is a playful, large boy who has had sleepeovers where he played with toys, was comfortable in the home, loved his couch and being handled. Knows sit, responsive on the leash, enjoys a great roll in the grass. A chill friendly guy who would love a home where he`s treated like one of the family. He has been at OCAS for 100 days or more. Please consider taking a second look at this wonderful boy. Staff has noted that while here, he have been friendly towards new people, appear to be housetrained, and have done with with medical exams. Staff still recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the homeINSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Benny Boy came over for a sleepover and he was a very good boy. He was respectful in the home. No jumping, counter surfing or trying to take food. I actually ate near him several times and he just laid next to me without even begging. He can be a little particular about treats, mostly preferring chicken and other meat treats. He can hold a sit and be patient. We took him on several walks. He is quite strong and does pull at times, but after the first walk he did start to calm down and pull less. He is kinda funny when riding in the car. He likes to sit or stand on the floor and look backwards instead of forwards. He did do well when meeting my dog, picking up on her cues when she didn’t want to play anymore. He really likes hugs and cuddles. He found a whale toy that he played with for hours. He had some difficulty with resting in the crate at nigh
