Story
Hi! My name is Buddy Guy. I was 8 months old when I came 'round these parts from Georgia. I was lost and forgotten and not given much learnin' that was until MVPC found me. I was desperate for help and they gave all that to me and something I never had before, the feeling of safety. I am forever grateful for their help. I must move on they told me and find a forever family to help build me into the best dog that I can be. I know right off, that I am a large boy. I am tall. Currently holding around 80lbs. I am under 2 years old. I LOVE TO PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, AND DID I SAY PLAY? My off button works, but you have to stay on top of me! My foster momma said that I didn't get the rearing that I needed those first 8 months at all! I don't understand all that, but I do know my foster momma has worked with me a whole lot. I've gotten better. I need a patient family who is willing to continue to work with me. I would like some older kids and a younger dog that can keep up with me and not get mad at me and hurt me. I don't know anything about all that fighting. If you have a meany don't look at me! I want to play! Move on, sweetheart! Much love to you. If you want more info on me let MVPC know and my foster momma will be happy to provide it to you. ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/9/23 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, but can be solo CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/INQUIRY/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! Meet Thunder **COURTESY LISTING** **THUNDER IS A COURTESY POST AND IS NOT A FOSTER WITHIN MVPC. ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS OR COMMUNICATION NEEDS TO BE SENT VIA THE EMAIL CONTACT BELOW.** Do not send an inquiry through Petfinder, neither the private foster nor Miami Valley Pit Crew will respond. Thunder is a 6-month-old male boxer, bully mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and current with all recommended veterinary care. Thunder has started training and is currently living in a foster home where he attends an interactive dog day care and sleeps quietly through the night in a crate at the foot of his foster Mom’s bed. He really likes to go for rides in his foster mom’s van and enjoys exploring PetSmart, Bass Pro, and local parks. Thunder prefers the company of larger dogs and older kiddo's - smaller dogs and cats just aren't his thing. Story
Ziggy is a 6-year-old pure boxer breed . He is very well behaved and potty trained, an ideal indoor house dog who doesn't bark in the house and would just love to lay on a couch and take a nap. He is full of energy ! On an open lawn, he loves to run around and bask himself in the sun. He loves car rides and would make for a perfect co-passenger. His ideal for a home who have a dog already ! Since he loves socializing with other dogs, that said, he also behaves well if he is the only dog.

TRULY A BEAUTIFUL DOG!! Pure breed, but I’ve lost the papers. Since we brought Indy into our lives, we’ve built loving memories and experiences with his friendly and amazing attitude. He loves to accompany me on walks or hikes and is curious, but not aggressive about other dogs. He loves kids!!!! He might knock little ones down at first bc he really doesn’t get how big he is. If he is introduced slowly and with stern command, he learns quickly. He knows how to ring bells hanging from a door to say he wants to go out. He’s a super cuddler—He WILL be in your bed, on the couch, and lounging in your favorite chair. But he’s a dependable best friend and buddy. I wish I could take him out to explore the world and get the love he needs. (Our family situion has changed in the last two years, I’m facing an empty nest, and as much as I hate to see him go, it’s just become untenable with my schedule and salary.) Ps—he could lose a few lbs—he’s been eating the little guy’s food too!

Story
I am rehoming Sadie for a friend of mine who just wasn’t able to keep up with her needs. She has been kept up in a bedroom for majority of her life and was severely malnourished when I discovered her. She longs for company and to be able to freely run outside, so a fenced in backyard is preferred. She is the sweetest dog ever and will try her hardest to not let you down. She just wants affection. She has the best “SIT” I’ve ever seen and I wish I could take her myself but I already have 2 dogs and am relocating soon. Because Sadie was underfed for so long, her stomach is sensitive and has to go quite often. But she will always let you know she has to go, and is very sad and ashamed when she can’t hold it. Which isn’t her fault, but she has been treated as so. I’m not sure if her exact age and breed, but am sure she is a loving and sweet girl with a hysterical personality that deserves lots of space and attention

Story
It's time for  a very special introduction....our sweet, special boy Samson, or as his foster family calls him... Scooter &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Scoot came to the rescue in February of 2023 as a puppy. He's an extra special guy with some extra special needs.  He's mostly paralyzed in the back end and is also incontinent...but let us tell you, that doesn't slow him down one bit! He is silly and playful and extra sweet.  Upon entering his foster home, Scoot started hydrotherapy, which has helped him immensely. He's able to use his back legs some but mostly scoots around and still needs a wheelchair for walks and outings.  In addition, Scooter went to a neurologist in Columbus so we could figure out what caused this and if it was fixable. We got our answer pretty quickly... Neosporosis.  Neospora is a parasite that was passed to him in utero from his mom. It paralyzes muscles. He started antibiotics immediately to kill the parasite and keep it from doing further damage. We can't fix Scoot, he is how he is...which is PERFECT!  Scooter is almost finished with his antibiotics, but still takes daily meds to help with his urinary incontinence, probiotics, and a joint supplement.  He is loved beyond measure in his foster home, even though he's  a little "extra." However, the time has come to let him spread his wings and fly in his forever home &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Samson is great with other digs, kids and cats. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Street Name: DJ Stage Name: DJ Eggboi - THE REMIX About Me: Hi there! I'm the artist formerly known as Dr. John, and I'm seeking a brand new career path! I've spent over a year training with my friends at SICSA, and I've decided that calling myself a "doctor" without any credentials is pretty uncool. I've matured and learned a lot in my time here, so I'm going back to the basics and calling myself DJ now! I'm considering a job as a disc jocky (...get it?...DJ?) or party planner, since everyone says I have superstar charisma and know how to keep the fun times rollin'. I'm open for a collaborative effort if you have another fun-loving dog, but I can also work independently if you prefer. Ask about booking a party with me, the brilliant, hilarious, egg-headed sensation today! Resume and business cards available upon request. (No, really -- don't believe me? Just ask!) We are located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, Ohio 45458 and are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm - 7pm, and Sunday from 12pm - 6pm. To schedule an appointment, you can reach us during our open hours at 937-294-6505.

Story
Hi, my name is Misty Blue and I am a spitfire, but in a good way. First, I am beautiful, but that can’t be all you love about me. I came into the rescue very pregnant and gave birth within 36 hours of arriving. I was a very protective, good momma, and learned to trust my foster mom slowly. Once my puppies were weaned and adopted, we set out to make me the best version of myself. I am an athlete through and through and would excel at agility, hiking with a backpack and anything and everything that involves a job. I can jump several feet into the air, climb most things and I balance like a champ. I am stubborn, and bonding and trust are very, very important to me. I need daily interaction, exercise and mental stimulation to be happy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sprinkler and will play in it, biting at the water for as long as you will let me. I also swim! And my favorite game may be parkour. I'll climb ladders, go down slides...anything physical I am totally game. Then, I'lll happily snuggle in for a nap. I spent two weeks at a board and train, where I began learning how to play appropriately with other dogs and meet some new people. I am good with people, and am good in public, so training can continue anywhere! An experienced owner is a must, as I am smarter than most dogs (and people) and need a firm but fun family. I chase all small creatures and will need a good fence to securely run my energy out. If you are looking for a workout buddy, someone to go on adventures with, then lay on the couch to watch a movie when all the excitement is done for the day, I may be your girl. ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained). Story
Hi, my name is Tom Bodett and I’ll leave the light on for ya…. In all seriousness, I, along with another dog, were abandoned at a local hotel and some awesome police officers got us to MVPC. I am a beautiful boy, and very devoted to my people. I love to play, and am quite active, but I am also a lover through and through. I love people and my only goal is to make you happy. While I get along with other dogs outside the home, inside the home, I get nervous around them, so I'd really like to be an only dog. I am working on this in professional training! I am very strong and will need a family that will continue my training and take me on adventures to get my energy out, but dog beds and jammies are also much appreciated! I have THE best facial expressions and will literally try anything with you and for you. I really am that sweet and devoted! I cannot, however, swim…I tried and it didn’t go well. I sank. It wasn’t pretty and kinda embarrassing - take a look at my pics, you'll see! But don’t worry, I’ll still happily travel with you…hotels with pools and all. I am currently on seizure medicine for a condition called “fly strike syndrome” where I would look like I was trying to catch a fly but there is nothing there. With the medicine, I no longer do this! It runs about $20 a month, but it definitely helps me be the best version of myself! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) I AM READY TO GO HOME!!
