Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Zero is a 40-pound pit mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for his people. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who wants to cuddle on the couch (preferably in a cozy sweater), Zero might just be your guy. Zero is dog-friendly and kid-friendly, and he’s been cat curious. He does bark at the cat, but it appears to be playful curiosity rather than aggression. With proper introductions and guidance, he may do well in a home with a confident cat. He is potty trained and crate trained, though the crate can still feel a little scary for him at times. His foster family helps him feel safe by giving him a Kong and even leaving clothing that smells like them for comfort. With patience and reassurance, he continues to improve. Zero already knows sit, stay, and leave it, and he’s very treat motivated — which makes training a breeze. He catches on quickly, takes correction well, and genuinely wants to please. He’s not a dog who gets into things he shouldn’t, which is a huge bonus! He absolutely loves Kongs and stuffy toys and will happily entertain himself. That said, his favorite activity is being close to his people. Zero thrives on affection and connection. Like many young dogs, he’s still working on a few things: He can get overly excited and loud in new places. He’s learning that furniture isn’t his personal throne. He may need continued confidence-building when experiencing new environments. Zero would do best with a family willing to continue guiding him with structure, patience, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a devoted, cuddly companion who just wants to be part of everything you do. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit. Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Kyro is a handsome Pitbull mix with a heart as big as his smile. This super sweet boy came to the rescue extremely emaciated, and because of that past, he can be a little protective over his food. With a consistent routine and respectful handling, he does just fine—and he always takes treats gently like a total gentleman. Kyro gets along great with other dogs and enjoys making canine friends. He’s crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and loves settling in with a good bone after a walk. Fair warning: stuffed toys and blankets don’t stand a chance—Kyro considers them his personal shredding projects 😄. He can be a bit vocal and tends to jump up when he’s excited, but he’s actively working on keeping all four paws on the floor and is eager to learn. Because of his enthusiastic greetings, Kyro would likely do best in a home with older kids. Kyro hasn’t met cats yet, so his feelings there are still a mystery. What we do know is that he’s an affectionate, loving boy who’s ready to trade his rough start for a forever home full of love, structure, and chew toys. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet soul and a playful spirit, Kyro might just be your guy. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Vi is a 4-month-old, 25-pound pit mix with the sweetest soul and so much love to give. Though she’s still just a baby, Vi hasn’t had much of a chance to simply be a puppy yet—but you’d never know it from her gentle, hopeful spirit. She’s already proving how smart she is by mastering “sit” and is eager to keep learning with her future family. Vi is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night, making her an easy addition to any home. Vi gets along wonderfully with other dogs and adores kids. While she hasn’t met cats just yet, her young age and easygoing nature make us confident she would adjust well. She loves her stuffies, enjoys chewing on her nylabones, and is happiest when she’s near her people. More than anything, Vi is ready for a fresh start—a chance to finally enjoy all the love, comfort, and fun that every puppy deserves. She’s just waiting for someone to give her that chance. Meet Petey, a lovable mix of charm, strength, and playfulness! This handsome boy is all about adventure, whether it's a walk through the neighborhood or a breezy car ride with the wind in his fur. Petey's playful spirit lights up with tug-of-war games, window gazing, fetching his favorite Kong ball, or splashing around during bath time. He's a clever pup, already mastering sit and excited to learn even more! Petey's affectionate side shines as he curls up on your lap or politely asks for a play session during TV time. While he's still working on his manners around food, he's a well-mannered sleeper, resting peacefully in his cozy kitchen spot through the night.
