Story
Khan is a very handsome young pit bull looking for an active/structured house. Having been abandoned at the shelter, we don't know any specifics about his background. We do know that he LOVES humans and craves attention! Khan is extremely energetic and very strong. When we first met him he had absolutely no manners. He can get overstimulated and will jump or nip to get your attention. He has completed Intro-to-Training class twice and walks with a Gentle Leader and a chest harness. He will benefit greatly from continued consistency with his training and commands. He is very smart, and he shows that he can absolutely be a Good Dog with consistent handling (and the right yummy incentives). After more than a year here at the shelter, he is much calmer and better able to process his surroundings. His loves are car rides, walks, swimming, and PEOPLE! At 65-70 lbs his strength can be a challenge. His jump has a 5-6 foot clearance from standing! Khan has not shown any signs of aggression toward other dogs but he does forget his manners in an effort to play with them. We have not specifically cat-tested Khan, but he has been in our lobby where he can see cats and he is very interested in them. We suspect that he would chase anything smaller than himself.

Story
Luna is very lovable and spoiled. She likes to be covered up at night time when I it’s bed time. I got her at 7 months old, she is now 4 years old. We recently moved and do not have a fenced in yard so she can’t run freely like she is used to.

Story
My name is Betty. I'm a sweet older girl looking for my forever home. I can be a little nervous at first but as I warm up I am sweet and affectionate. I love the company of my people friends and love to be close by. I am not a fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I have not been around cats before but may be open to trying. Do you have room for an old girl to rest and enjoy her golden years? If you think your home is right for me then come down and lets meet.---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. Story
Hi, I'm Caillian! I am a puppy who was living in a hoarder's home, and now I am looking for my furever home where I can be the center of your world. I have a lot to learn as far as basic commands and canine manners, but I am eager to please and ready to learn. I have shown some reactivity towards other dogs, so I will need a proper introduction to see if I can have a doggy companion. However, I may do ok with cats, but have yet to meet one! I also find younger children to be a bit scary, so dog savvy kids 5+ that can respect my nervousness are the ones I'm looking for. If you think I would be a good fit with your family, come down to the shelter to meet me!---Our facility is open daily from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, meet and greet appointments are highly recommended. If you are interested in meeting an animal please contact us via email at Lancaster@pspca.org to learn more about our adoption process and to set a meet and greet appointment.

Story
Hi, I'm Pita! I came to the shelter as a stray, and now I am hoping to find my furever home. I have a calm side to me, but I can also be a playful and rambunctious pup. My shelter friends know I used to live in a home, however, not much is known about my time there. I may do well with kids of all ages and may be able to have cat and dog companions. If you think a handsome pup like me would be a perfect addition, then come on down to meet me! ---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. Story
Hudson is a 1.5 year old handsome boy who loves belly rubs and long walks. He has received basic and C.L.A.S.S phD dog training. He knows basic commands and is crate trained. While he is a very smart boy, it has become clear he would prefer to be an only child. Our home of 3 children and 2 cats is not an ideal fit. We are hoping to find him a loving home where he will be much happier.

Story
We adopted Gidget at 8 weeks old from a local family who had a litter of puppies. She will be 7 in August 2024. Gidget is a total lapdog despite her size and loves love. She is affectionate and constantly wants to be around you. Unfortunately, we are a busy family and are not able to be with her as often as she needs. Gidget will do well in a home with someone who is home most of the time. She gets along with our cat and the children. She also gets along with our other dog but is questionable around other dogs.
