Story
Hi! My name is Skye. I am a 3-year-old very energetic, food motivated, spayed American Pit Bull Terrier mix. I live with my human mom and dad, two human brothers, a dog sister, a dog brother, and NINE cats. I need to find a home with no other (female) dogs. I love my dog sister, but she wants to be the boss, and so do I and this has caused much distress in my house. I am looking for an active home that will take me on car rides and hikes. A family that will continue to train me and make me an important part of their family. I love treats, food, teeny tiny tennis balls that squeak, treats, food, cuddles, treats, food, and staring out the window. If you couldn't tell by my love of food, I'm very motivated by food. I will love you unconditionally once I get to know you (and you give me treats).

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATE 4/23/2020 She is now 7-1/2 years old.  Posted 5/30/14 Unique was found as a stray and had 2 puppies after being taken in.  She is a young girl at 1-1/2 years old and she is a very busy dog.  She is very loving and loves to play with other dogs, but can be selective on who she likes.Because she is so active we do require a fenced yard for this 70lb dog.  She is crate trained and is housetrained (here).  She is not cat safe and because she jumps we do not recommend kids under 12, she has becoming increasingly unsure of children so we are changing the age to be 18.  She needs obedience training that will make her a perfect dog.  Her adoption fee is $200.  All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee along with an adoption kit . Application REQUIRED. Adoption fee required. If interested contact Denise @ (717) 469-7325 Email: Doggieden@aol.com The FIRST STEP to be considered for adopting a pet is to fill out the adoption application COMPLETELY . thedogsden.rescuegroups.org  Click on Adoption at left margin of pageVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 11, 2024, 10:20 pm

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.4/1/24 Still available! 1/14/24 We need to know why this very handsome boy hasn't had any interest in the year that we've had him listed. This dude is special. He is really everything you could want in a companion. He is kind. Loving. Affectionate. Great with other dogs. Good with cats, too. Loves all people, including kids. Mookie (formerly Snoopy but we have changed his name because we have another Snoopy) is all the things. He is about 1 1/2-2 years old and he weighs 75 lbs. That's 75 pounds of squishy love. He is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash (he pulls a little because he is eager to explore his world, but this is something he's working on). He enjoys car rides so if you want an adventure buddy, Mookie is your boy! There is nothing bad we can find about him... so why has no one wanted him? Is it because he's a pit bull (mix)? He promises not to hold your heritage against you, no matter what it is, if you'll promise to do the same for him. He doesn't know his breed scares some people, he just knows that he loves everyone. Is there someone that can look past his breed and see him for the giant, loving, squeezable boy that he is? If you might be that person, please reach out! He has waited long enough. It's time for him to find his family and start the rest of his life. Mookie available for adoption or foster. Give him a chance and you'll be glad you did! **any negative comments about the pit bull breed will be deleted immediately. AASR does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.4/1/24 Still available! 3/20/24 Marshmallow is the last one of his litter waiting to be adopted. He is quickly approaching the hard time adopt age, on top of being a pit bull mix, so the odds are against him. Please share!! He is a sweet, happy pit bull puppy who is about 5 months old. This guy will probably be around 60 lbs once full grown. He and his siblings were born to a stray pit bull who a kind family took in just before she gave birth. We don't know what she was bred with. Mom is a very sweet natured, gentle dog, and Marshmallow is too. He is good with other dogs as well as cats and kids. He is neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in the northeast. That’s the Presley version of Elvis. Our version has two of those things. He can’t sing a lick, but he looks like he could. Elvis is smart, friendly and fun. He is a recent graduate of the Paws In Prison training program. He has mastered all basic obedience and passed his Canine Good Citizen test. He has gotten along well with other dogs of similar size and energy. He has not been around tiny dogs or cats. This guy needs a home desperately. He is currently in boarding, which is OK for short term, but not great for the mental and emotional health of a dog who was used to being with someone 24/7 at PIP. Can you offer him a loving home? Granted, he won’t come with a pink Cadillac or sparkly suits. But he will have tons of personality and a song full of love and devotion. For, my darling, he’ll love you. And he always will. Story
Playing is my favorite activity! My foster mom says I am a fetch champion! I also like to chill on the couch and chew on a stuffy or go for a car ride! I am a healthy girl who is up to date on my vaccines and am spayed. I would do best being the only pet, but I have lived with kids. If you have questions, send my foster mom a message-jennyr1972@aol.com. She'd be happy to tell you all about me or even come meet me! You could even take me home for a couple of weeks on a trial. My foster mom will also give an adopter a really cool gift card to help get me set up with you. I also have my own Instagram account – check me out! (gracietheplayfulpup). I really want a furever family to love and play with me. I'm a really good, silly girl!
