Hello, my name is Oso! I was brought into the shelter for a chance at a better life, since my previous home left me malnourished and neglected. I am gaining back my strength and condition, but I have been resilient and have not lost all trust in people. I have been living in a foster home because kennel life is very stressful for me. I am dog and cat friendly, so I would be happy to live with other animals. I have gotten much healthier and happier so now I can't wait to find my furever home! I do need some work on crate training, but old dogs can still learn new tricks! I have historically shown some over-arousal behavior and do have some handling sensitivity, so any kids in the home should be 13 and older. Although I am a mature gentleman I love to play and have plenty of spunk. I deserve a comfortable home and to never feel alone or hungry again. Khan is a very handsome young pit bull looking for an active/structured house. Having been abandoned at the shelter, we don't know any specifics about his background. We do know that he LOVES humans and craves attention! Khan is extremely energetic and very strong. When we first met him he had absolutely no manners. He can get overstimulated and will jump or nip to get your attention. He has completed Intro-to-Training class twice and walks with a Gentle Leader and a chest harness. He will benefit greatly from continued consistency with his training and commands. He is very smart, and he shows that he can absolutely be a Good Dog with consistent handling (and the right yummy incentives). After more than a year here at the shelter, he is much calmer and better able to process his surroundings. His loves are car rides, walks, swimming, and PEOPLE! At 65-70 lbs his strength can be a challenge. His jump has a 5-6 foot clearance from standing! Khan has not shown any signs of aggression toward other dogs but he does forget his manners in an effort to play with them. We have not specifically cat-tested Khan, but he has been in our lobby where he can see cats and he is very interested in them. We suspect that he would chase anything smaller than himself.

She can no longer keep patty cakes is very sad about giving her up. She is in need of immediate rehoming! We adopted Patty Cake when she was 3 years old and have had her for the last 4 years. We like to call her Patricia sometimes. Patty loves people I haven’t met a single person she hasn’t gotten along with. Unfortunately she is not very animal friendly. She would do well in a home with no other animals. She’s lived in a townhouse for years, but we would like to see her go to a home with a yard if possible. Tommy is a very loving dog. He is 12 years old but still gets around well and enjoys walks. He is not adjusting well to our new baby, and gets very jealous. We have brought in a trainer to work with him, but his behaviors are worsening. He would do best in a quieter home with no young kids. He would make a great companion dog and loves to sit on laps. He deserves to be the main focus of a family. He doesn't do well with cats. He has not had any issues with our dogs. He does chase woodland animals. Any questions please reach out. Nala is a stunning 10 year old petite pittie mix. Even though she's getting older she is full of energy ! A family that can be very active with her and take her out on walks/hikes/runs as well as someone who has a fenced in yard would give her the opportunity to fully flourish. She is defenitly a people dog and loves to be with her human/ humans. She'll even love to go on car rides with her new family. She is an extreme attention hog and would be best suited for a home where she could receive all the attention and not have to share,as she can also be pretty selective with other animals. She currently resides in a home with 2 small children and does well with them, however she does get super excited at times and forgets that she needs to be careful around them so she doesn't knock them over. She is leash trained and needs to be crated when home alone but doesn't love to be in her crate for long periods of time. She is currently taking something to help her deal with her separation anxiety and her new home would need to be ok with administering her 1 pill a day.
