Story
Hi, My name is Bruno! I am a 68lb. pitty boy, born 6/28/2018. My previous owners didn't want me anymore, so they tied me to the fence near the rescue! These nice people took me in and have shown me love and made sure I was ok. I love everyone here at the rescue, but I am ready to find my forever home. I don't don't much like most other dogs through the kennel fences here, but I may do better in a different setting. I do alert to kitty cats and may do best as an only pet. I have such a large and loving personality, I am the only one you need; I promise. I am an excellent walking companion and will have you laughing and smiling when you spend time with me. I have a huge grin I like to show off myself.  I have been known to be a stealth kisser - I am really affectionate.  I love to play ball and have epic zoomies when I get excited.  I know basic commands like sit, stay, lay, and paw. I am a volunteer favorite. Please ask, they will be happy to gush about all of my fine qualities as an exceptional gentleman. Staff believes I am house trained.  I have been neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested, and everything I need to find my perfect home. If interested in making me a part of your family. Please go to richardsonrescue.org to fill out an application for adoption.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 2:52 pm

Story
Meet Stormy! This little mixed 2 year old girl, weighing 22 lbs. was rescued by one of our previous pups. Beauty was always barking at a storm drain and her Mommy could not figure out why. Well one day out popped Stormy from inside of the storm drain ( hence the name Stormy) She was brought to us a little under weight, but it did not take her long to gain it as she loves to eat. She can be a little diva at times, she thinks she is as big as a Great Dane, but she is also very loving and loves climbing into a lap.  She like her treats and toys, and attention from her humans. She is house trained, leash and crate trained. She has been spayed, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to go to her forever home. Please fill out an adoption application at Richardsonrescue.org and come meet this little girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 2:52 pm

Story
Looking for a new fur-iend? Look no further than Kayak! This fun-loving, affectionate, and loyal fella is the perfect addition to your family. Not only is he friendly and loyal, he's also a bit of a comedian - always making his human friends laugh. He's a clever boy who loves to show off his tricks (and he has a lot of them!). He's also a total couch potato and loves nothing more than a good snuggle sesh. Kayak is great with other dogs. So if you're looking for a sweet, funny, and adorable dog, Kayak is the one for you! Come meet him today and see for yourself just how wonderful he is. Meet Kayak! Breed: lab/pit bull mix. Age: 2 years (est birthdate 1/30/22) Weight: approx 50lbs right now. Training: crate, leash, and house trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, unsure about cats-can test on request. Good with adults/kids? Yes, although he can be a little reserved at first. Personality: reserved at first, but that doesn't last long, he warms up to be very silly, submissive, friendly, playful. Loves toys and belly rubs. He is very loyal. Reason for rescue: originallly - dumped in a neighborhood. Kayak was adopted as a pup. Recently, we received a call from animal control through his microchip that he had been picked up. Apparently, the adopter rehomed him without reaching out to us at all. They didn't even have the name of the 'current owner' they rehomed him to. We commit to our animals for life, they ALWAYS have a safe place to come back to. Kayak needs and deserves a FOREVER home! Kayak is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Heartworm test pending. If interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $75.April 23, 2024, 11:22 am

Story
Meet Charlotte aka Lotte! Age: approx 9 years. Breed: pit bull mix. Size: approx 45lbs. Training: leash and crate trained, she is doing well with house training. Good with dogs/cats? No interest in dogs/she ignores them, cat test pending. Good with men/women/kids? Yes, though she does appear to be timid of men at first. She does warm up though. Personality: friendly, affectionate. Loves to cuddle. Reason for rescue: Charlotte was turned into a kill shelter after her owners claimed she bit them while breaking up a dog fight. This sweet girl isn't aggressive AT ALL. But because they claimed that, the shelter marked her rescue only and she was scheduled to be killed if no rescue stepped up. A foster volunteered to save her just in time. We don't know the situation surrounding Lotte's surrender. We do know from experience, sometimes people lie to make themselves look better when getting rid of their dog. Lotte is NINE YEARS OLD and suddenly she isn't doing well with other dogs? It just doesn't make sense. Come meet Lotte and decide for yourself. She is the sweetest girl! Lotte is microchipped and current on vaccinations and preventatives. She is scheduled to be spayed and heartworm tested. If you are interested in adding this sweet lady to your family, please message for an adoption application. She isn't available for adoption yet, but we are accepting applications! Adoption fee: no fee to the perfect forever home! (Our usual screening process still applies).April 23, 2024, 11:22 am

Story
This sweet girl is Lites Moon. Her owner, my brother sadly passed away 4/17/2024 from Cancer. I have only 10 days to rehome her due to the lease ending by the end of the month. She is very sweet and very loving but very sad right now for she lost her best friend. She was rescued by my brother from an abusive owner that used her for breeding purposes. She has a wonderful heart and loves to lay out in the sun. She also loves car/truck rides. She will need some TLC. The last 6 months of her owners life was spent mostly indoors ,she wouldn't leave his bedside.I am the owners sister needing a forever home for her. She is trained to potty outside. She is an indoor girl! She love dogtv at youtube. Which she loves. Please this sweet girl needs help. Adoption fee is negotiable Side note:I know she does great with kids. I am not confident to say the same about other pets. She has always been the only pet in the household.
