Story
DOB 10/26/2023, Max is a 49 lb.  Boxer/ Lab mix. Max came to us from a  shelter, and has been the sweetest guy. Max is a little shy and  unsure of the human touch but is making excellent progress. He has no aggression, He just needs love and attention. Max loves playing with other dogs and takes his cues from them for play and affection. He would florish with a dog pal in his new home. Max likes toys, is obedient, and just needs that special person. He loves when he gets to run around in the play yard. He is working on leash training, the command "sit" and is very eager to learn new things. Max has been neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. Story
Royce is a Boxer mix that is approximately two years old. Recently adopted from a local shelter, he is very affectionate and loves ear rubs, belly scratches, and hanging out at your feet. He has been curious and playful with our cat and other dogs. Royce enjoys walking, playing tug, and chewing on/playing with tennis balls/other toys. Running circles in the yard is also a favorite, and he is beginning to learn how to play fetch. Royce also does well on hiking trips. The farthest he has gone is about 8 miles. He knows some basic commands: sit, down, go to bed, no, and wait—although still in training, and reinforcement is needed to improve consistency. He has dramatically improved in this area since adoption. Royce has a very loving, affectionate, and silly personality typical of a Boxer. He loves pets and hanging out. He would likely make a great companion dog for an adult or family with older members. Royce would not be well-suited in a home with young or small children, however.

My dogs name is nugget and he’s a really really really great loving dog! He is house trained, great with people and my kids. I have never walked him with a leash ever he’s knows not to go in the street, pretty much just let him do his thing we don’t have a backyard in my townhome community so we have a little area where he knows to do his thing. He does have allergies, I’ve been giving him apoquel for his allergies about one a day and it seems to do the trick. He does have some skin issues on his back from before the apoquel and we were trying to figure out how to help him but other than that he just wants to play all day. I’m starting a trucking career oct 28th and unfortunately I won’t be able to bring him with me and my wife doesn’t like dogs he was pretty much mine so gonna have to find him a new home

Story
Meet Georgia - your new best friend and the ultimate package deal! This adorable girl is friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, smart, curious, funny, and loves kisses. She's athletic and ready to go on walks or runs, but can also be a total couch potato and just wants to snuggle. If you're looking for a dog who's both a protector and gentle as can be, you've found your girl! Georgia is eager to please and food motivated, so she's easy to train and will learn your commands in no time. This girl is the complete package - what are you waiting for? Come meet Georgia and fall in love! More about Georgia! Age: approx 2 years Breed: boxer/pit bull mix is our best guess. Size: approx 35-40lbs. Training: leash trained, crate trained, doing great with housetraining. She knows sit and down, and is eager to please. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, she lived with cats previously and did fine, but we will re-test if a potential home has cats. Good with men/women/kids? Georgia can be shy/reserved when meeting new people/new situations, but she warms up to be very loyal and friendly! She is very food motivated! Personality: Georgia is playful, friendly, and loving. She is very loyal. Georgia was rescued from a kill shelter after being surrendered by her owner's ex. We recently were contacted by the original owner who had been looking for her for a year! She was supposed to be returned to her original owner but after holding her a few weeks, we haven't heard back :(. Georgia is so deserving of finding her FOREVER home! She would do best with a fenced yard or a place to run off leash. She does fine on the leash, but when on a leash, she makes a hacking sound when it pushes on her throat. We walk her on a harness when necessary but haven't found one that doesn't press on the throat area. After a visit to our vet, our vet believes Georgia has scar tissue in her throat from something in her past. It doesn't affect her at all but because of this, we believe a fenced yard or a safe area to run off leash is best for her. The previous owner said she has always done this but it hasn't affected her. Reason for rescue: rescued from kill shelter. Georgia is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application. Adoption fee: $75.October 24, 2024, 9:28 am

Story
Hi, My name is Bruno! I am a 68lb. pitty boy, born 6/28/2018. My previous owners didn't want me anymore, so they tied me to the fence near the rescue! These nice people took me in and have shown me love and made sure I was ok. I love everyone here at the rescue, but I am ready to find my forever home. I don't don't much like most other dogs through the kennel fences here, but I may do better in a different setting. I do alert to kitty cats and may do best as an only pet. I have such a large and loving personality, I am the only one you need; I promise. I am an excellent walking companion and will have you laughing and smiling when you spend time with me. I have a huge grin I like to show off myself.  I have been known to be a stealth kisser - I am really affectionate.  I love to play ball and have epic zoomies when I get excited.  I know basic commands like sit, stay, lay, and paw. I am a volunteer favorite. Please ask, they will be happy to gush about all of my fine qualities as an exceptional gentleman. Staff believes I am house trained.  I have been neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested, and everything I need to find my perfect home. If interested in making me a part of your family. Please go to richardsonrescue.org to fill out an application for adoption.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 23, 2024, 1:07 pm

Story
Meet Stormy! This little mixed 2 year old girl, weighing 22 lbs. was rescued by one of our previous pups. Beauty was always barking at a storm drain and her Mommy could not figure out why. Well one day out popped Stormy from inside of the storm drain ( hence the name Stormy) She was brought to us a little under weight, but it did not take her long to gain it as she loves to eat. She can be a little diva at times, she thinks she is as big as a Great Dane, but she is also very loving and loves climbing into a lap.  She like her treats and toys, and attention from her humans. She is house trained, leash and crate trained. She has been spayed, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to go to her forever home. Please fill out an adoption application at Richardsonrescue.org and come meet this little girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 23, 2024, 1:07 pm

Story
Purpose was dumped on me in a Walmart parking lot. He is a sweet, affectionate 6 month old boy who makes me laugh when rolling in blankets. Purpose loves going on car rides, is leash and kennel trained and knows basic commands. He has been trained to wait for his meals too. Purpose would like that you keep his name and your home be his fur ever home. A home with teenagers is fine, no young children, no small dogs, and NO cats! He does get along with other dogs, the same size as him or larger. Although, Purpose would prefer having all the cuddles, love and your attention for himself. Any toys, treats, etc that I have acquired for Purpose will be provided also.
