Story
Who says you don’t get second chances in life? That’s certainly not true for this sweet older lady. We don’t know much about her back story, but what we do know is that somehow she found herself alone on the streets of Baltimore. She was taken to Baltimore Animal Control, where everyone there immediately fell in love with her. As stressful as it must have been to lose her home, be kicked out on the street and then wind up at a busy shelter, her wonderful disposition just shined right through. She absolutely adores people and was a well loved pet at one point. She can’t get enough of being petted and receiving belly rubs. She is an easy going ol’ gal and gets along fine with other cats and animals. She’s extremely adaptable. She has perfect litter box skills and manners. She’s not one to climb up curtains or scratch on furniture. Her favorite thing in the world is just to snooze next to her person. She does have a playful side, but in general she’s a very calm girl. Just an all around sweetheart. She will make a new family very happy. Like all Furever Home cats, Uni is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information about FeLV or Uni, please contact FureverHomeMD@gmail.com or call 301.703.1674

Story
Saba is a very sweet, chill boy with an undertone of fun kitten. He’s a little reserved until he gets to know you, but give him a week to come out of his shell and he’ll be your best friend. He’s the perfect age – young enough to want to play games and have fun, but old enough so he won’t go destroying your house and climbing up your curtains. He loves to be pet and snuggled. His favorite things in the world are his toy mouse, his people, and a good nap in a sun beam. Saba has perfect kitty litter box etiquette. He'd do fine with older, respectable children. Like all our cats, Saba is FeLV positive. He needs to be an only cat or with another FeLV positive cat. If you have questions about FeLV or Saba, please reach out to FureverHomeMD@gmail.com or call 301.703.1674

Story
Hi, I’m Veronica! I am a very sweet young adult. My foster mom says I have the most beautiful markings she’s ever seen, and who am I to argue. I am a petite little thing and even though I’m an adult, I look like a kitten. I had a tough start to life so I’m a little shy when I first meet you, but once I warm up I’ll be your best friend. I do need a quieter home since loud sudden noise scares me. My interests include snuggling on the couch, playing with my catnip mouse, lounging in a sunbeam, and enjoying a long, leisurely meal. I don’t scratch furniture and I have perfect litter box manners. Seriously, I’m the purrrfect cat! I was diagnosed as FeLV positive which means I have a virus that compromises my immune system. It is not contagious to humans or other animals, but it can be passed on to other cats so I can only be with other FeLV+ cats or by myself. FeLV is not a death sentence and I’m located in a rescue that only deals with other FeLV cats like me. She can tell you all about it. But the bottom line is other than FeLV, I’m very healthy and there’s no medication. With a decent diet and low stress, I could live a long, normal life. Please give me a chance. I promise you, I’m totally worth it.

Story
Stormy was found by a family friend as a newborn whose mother abandoned him and his siblings. None of his siblings survived more than a few hours. Stormy is a very loving and affectionate kitty towards all humans. He just doesn’t get along with one of our other cats, and they fight constantly. We have another cat that he gets along with extremely well. Stormy was born on tax day 2023, and is a very energetic kitten. He loves toys that make noise, lasers, and snuggles on the couch. We would love to be able to have him here in our home forever, but we need to consider our cats that have been with us for years. This is a difficult decision that we are not taking lightly.
