Story
Pickle is the kind of cat who does things on his terms. He is cuddly when the mood strikes, but always ready to chase, pounce, and explore. He’s full of life and has a mischievous streak that keeps things interesting. He’d thrive in a home where someone has time to play and interact with him regularly, or better yet with a friendly feline playmate to match his energy. Pickle isn’t a lap cat 24/7, but when he decides it’s snuggle time, he’ll curl up right next to you like you’re his favorite person in the world. Pickle would do best with an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and can appreciate his independent, sometimes spicy nature. He needs a home that respects his boundaries, offers plenty of enrichment, and gives him the space to be his unique, lovable self. If you’re looking for a cat with charm, spunk, and a whole lot of character Pickle will be the best addition to your home.

He’s the type of kitty who prefers sunbeams, slow blinks, and soft naps over chaos. He’s low-maintenance, never causes a fuss, and has mastered the art of silent companionship. If you’re looking for easygoing, affectionate companion with a touch of mischief and a whole lot of love, Lewis is ready to charm his way into your heart!

Story
Otis chose to live with my dogs and me 5 1/2 years ago. He was a scared, scawny young stray who literally jumped into my lap as I sat outside one night listening to the owls. I tried to find his owner, but he wasnt chipped and no one responded to social media posts, etc. So, he joined the family. The two golden retrievers needed to get used to him and vice versa. Since then, Otis has trained three other dogs and loves sparring with them. He is a handsome 6-yo neutered male with a big personality and yet very affectionate. Turn ons: tuna, dog siblings, play time, ruling the roost, fresh air from open windows, someone watching him eat, cuddles. Turn offs: loud noises, whiskers touching the edge of a water dish, car rides. Otis gets crystals in his urinary tract so he needs to be on C/D prescription cat food exclusively (cost: about $50/month). Otherwise, he is completely healthy and sassy, as cats should be. Currently an indoor cat; has not been vaccinated for feline leukemia.

Story
Chloe and Eddie's Story/Official Up for Adoption post Life on the streets is never easy and even with a caretaker providing food, Chloe faced harsh circumstances. She had recently given birth to a litter of kittens, although we will never know how many there originally were as there was only one surviving kitten. Eddie, only a few weeks old was being kept under a wheel barrow to protect him from the elements and a tomcat that wanted nothing more than to rid Chloe of her kittens to get her in heat again. This tomcat was obsessive, constantly stalking Chloe's every move and watching to get at Eddie. Thankfully, the caretaker realized help was needed and contacted BKR for help. Jen immediately jumped into action, grabbing supplies to secure Chloe and Eddie and get them safely inside. After a couple of days, enduring the harsh temps of Michigan winter, Jen had both kitties safe inside the caretaker's house. Unbeknownst to anyone, Chloe had already become pregnant again and as Eddie grew, so did Chloe's belly. Chloe gave birth to 6 new babies, but one was stillborn. Over the next couple months, everything went well. Kitties were happy and healthy and it was time for vetting and going up for adoption. With almost no notice, we were told the caretakers were going out of town and that they planned on taking all the kitties to the shelter. This broke our hearts as we scrambled, trying to figure out a plan. Chloe was taken to the shelter, ripped away from her babies and the comfort and safety of a home she had become accustomed to in the past 6 months. She was stressed and reactive which led to her being labeled as feral and they decided to TNR her. A couple days later, they took the kittens to the shelter. Had we been able to get a foster home on such short notice, we truly wanted to save them all from having to go to a shelter, but time wasn't on our side. Jen adopted Eddie to get him out and we were able to get Chloe before caretakers released her back to the streets. Originally, there was an adopter for both once kitties were settled, but Chloe had regressed and Eddie had become very sick and a few days later, Chloe developed the same symptoms. Both kitties were taken to Leslie's house where Jen and Leslie took turns caring for them, ensuring they ate, got their meds and anything else they needed. With both doing much better physically and mentally, we are now reaching out to find Chloe and Eddie a safe haven for the rest of their lives. We would love to keep them together as they have been through so much together and are comforted in each other's presence. Please share and help us find a home for these two wonderful and deserving kitties. If interested in adopting, you can reach out through messenger or email at bloomfieldkittyrescue@gmail.com.

Story
Neville came from a difficult situation. His mother to his litter, and seven other mothers of very young kittens were trapped by a horrible neighbor, knowing they had babies and he disposed of them. We are not sure how or where, we got management involved but haven't proof of exactly what or how he did that. But he knew if he got rid of them, their babies wouldn't survive. So not being able to eat or fend for themselves, 11 of the kittens we were able to save came from this horrible situation. He is scared, but trying to learn to trust. . We have his sister, Purrfect, but they are not bonded, they don't really hang together at all. We are looking for a non-smoking home for him, with a pet parent who has a lot of patience, love and time to give to him. He would need to have another cat in the home already, a young female. He needs mothering and a female to cozy up to and learn from. For more information on little Rufus, call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number at marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Cyril came out of a confusion and sad situation. He has been reunited with his brother, Neville finally. Nevilles seems to love Reva, Cyril loves Criollo his housemate of the late 6 weeks. He should be with one of them or at the very least another kitten close to his age. We are looking for a non smoking home, indoor only and a family who wants to give him the security he's been missing since his mother was taken from his litter and destroyed on purpose by a neighbor. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com
