Django is a wonderful 3 year old friend. He can be very shy and timid at times, but with some encouragement, his confidence shines through! He is great with cats, dogs, and babies but seems to get uncomfortable around toddlers. He loves cuddles, playing fetch, and to keep you close company all day❤️

Story
Fif is a good dog! I've taken very good care of him. But I'm 62 years old and I didn't know much about his breed, he's too much dog for me at my age and the expenses of keeping him has become a strain on me and my family. He's had puppy training but I couldn't afford to continue to next level training. He's never been aggressive but I can't really socialize him because most people are afraid of him from sight. I love Fif this is hard for me but I want him to be happy and I feel I can't do that he needs a more active home.

Story
We are relocating somewhere that does not value the loyal, affectionate, and mild temperament of an American Staffordshire Terrier. Sadly, misperceived by her breed she is stereotyped as an aggressive breed, which Marz is far from. Marz is the most adorable and mild-tempered dog I've ever known. She loves to eat, play, get rubs, ride in a car, and sleep. She likes squeaky chew toys, but unfortunately, she loves to destroy them to get another. She does not chew on shoes, furniture, or anything except food, toys, and things that she thinks are either of the two, such as a child's small toys. Marz is familiar with grooming and going to the doctor (Vets) because she's been going since we got her at six weeks old from a friend of my son whose dog had a litter of the cutest pups. Marz is now three years old and her trainer said she is stubborn. But, not in a mean way, she just does't want to be interrupted sniffing for food :).

Story
Hi, I'm Cobbler! I am a happy-go-lucky and goofy pup who is potty trained and crate trained. I am still working on manners when it comes to respecting personal space and listening to directions faster. I can get hyped up easily and will hop around awkwardly or run away from things that scare me like I'm channeling Scooby Doo. When I'm not following my human around, I enjoy lying next to them on a comfy couch or entertaining myself by gnawing on a bone on my dog bed. I am still uncertain in new situations and can be dog selective, so dog intros should be slow so I can adjust better. I get along fine with the large dogs in my foster home but I would rather follow the humans around. The younger dog and I often wrestle and have good play sessions. I shouldn't be in a home with cats, I have not played well with the ones I met. To see more pics of me in foster, check out @fosterofdogs on Instagram! Story
King is already neutered and READY TO GO HOME TODAY!!People often call King funny because he has a goofball sense of humor. He's a goofy, high-energy, 2-year-old pup who will keep you laughing. His favorite hobbies are playing fetch, playing with other dogs, and giving lots of kisses. He's been working on some training with his foster dad and is making good progress!Due to his rougher play style and still having puppy tendencies, he is not suitable for small children or cats, but if your dog likes to roughhouse, he loves playing like that!He is crate trained and should be let outside to potty immediately once out of the crate to prevent any accidents. He has a sensitive stomach and does well with Pedigree dog food. Most importantly, King will be true to his name by being the King of snuggling. If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "King - 225714"King is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and already neutered. If you have dogs, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Buddy is so very special To me!!! He’s such a good boy and has been my buddy for 8 years. I have a newborn and I will have to move back north with family. Unfortunately , I’m having difficulty finding a home that allows pitties. It’s really limiting me. Hes very good with my newborn and LOVESSS people!! As he has gotten older he doesn’t do great with all dogs anymore. He seems to be good with cats as he stays at his dog sitters who has 3 cats! I just want him to have the love and attention he needs as I feel I can’t give him the same attention the a newborn. Would even be willing to do o just 6 months -1 year commitment as I adjust with newborn!

Story
River is a smart, housebroken, crate trained, and food motivated approx one year old mix.. His foster home has been working on leash skills and he already knows several basic commands. He would do fantastic with a single young adult or child-free couple who have some experience with dogs already and can continue to build on the foundation they have been working on. He is young and has a lot to learn. River’s ideal home has: A dog his size that will play with him and help him learn doggy social skills, his foster home only has small old pups and he wants them to play so badly. A fenced in yard for zoomies and games of fetch (Eventually he might even learn to bring the ball back!) He’s never attempted to escape the yard but a 6’ tall fence is recommended so he’s never tempted. He can leap clear over the couch… Maybe agility training is in his future! No small kids - he is fostered with several kids, as young as 4 years old, but is very much a puppy at heart does not seem to realize his own size and strength and can still be a bit unpredictable. Lots of durable toys like Kongs and Benebones available. He LOVES to chew on toys but does a really good job only chewing what he’s allowed too. Stuffed animals with squeakers are a blast for him - albeit very short lived!

Story
This guy. He's been through the MOST. He was dragged out of his yard by another dog in a violent fashion, barely making it out alive. Taken to urgent care, he was handed over to animal control after his treatment. He was fighting for his life. Because of what he looked like, no other rescue wanted this guy, but we couldn't let him die after he just fought so hard to live! Luckily, a very knowledgable foster home said she would take him til he healed and work on his medical needs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and HW-. He is an amazing soul and good boy. We hope you will consider him if your dog needs a dog - he really wants to play with other dogs! Another dog can also be a mentor to him and show him that the world isn't so scary, that there are good people in it! Older kids are fine in a home for Stanley. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
With her foster family, Usagi is an extremely affectionate little hunk of love. A master of snuggles, she will happily either lie on top of her humans, sprawl out next to them, curl up in the curve of their legs, or smoosh in-between them; big spoon, little spoon--she loves it all. One of her most favorite activities is belly rubs. She will flop onto her back, with paws dangling, and extort all the belly rubs she can. She loves her toys and all food. Usagi loves to chase a ball, and can run faster and jump higher/farther than most, which would make her great for any type of agility games and training. She occasionally gets the most adorable zoomies and will race in circles, grab a toy, and buck like a little bronco. She is sooooo endearing and provides endless entertainment. Usagi is very smart and eager to please. She has learned Sit, Down, Stay, Up, Roll over, Spin, Lay on your side, Go to your mat, Wait/Hold (for food or when doors open), Leave it, Come, Kennel up (Go to crate), and a few others! Here's one of the tricks she now knows: She can lie down, with treats lined up on her legs and muzzle, and then, when given the "Okay" cue, she will gobble them up! Usagi generally walks beautifully on a leash. She is a quick study and would likely be happy to learn any trick requested. These are just some examples of Usagi's amazing qualities and lovable personality. She is, however, very fearful of new things including dogs and people. She has made progress, but in her forever home Usagi will need a patient pet parent/family who will continue to work with her slowly while she builds confidence. Usagi will need to be the only animal in her new home. Her very rambunctious playstyle and bullish affection would also likely overwhelm small children. Usagi is getting braver but still needs very slow introductions to new humans. So, she would not do well in a house with lots of visitors or with people who travel a lot. Usagi completely melts her foster humans with her sweet, affectionate gaze, the press of one of her meaty little paws, or the smooshing of her blocky head against their cheeks. She will bring boundless love, affection, and laughs to her forever home, and needs loving, caring people to help her feel safe. PHYSICAL Usagi is an adorable stocky little mix--mostly white, with large brown patches and some small, dark polka dots. She is short and muscular with adorable chunky paws. Her big bunny ears usually stand straight up, but sometimes her right ear flops over. Usagi has stunningly gorgeous blue and gold eyes, and a mottled pink and brown nose.

Story
Miss Brick is a solid rectangle of muscular charm. Her favorite activities include meeting new people, playing tug-of-war, and chewing on squeaky toys. She is burly and enthusiastic, so she needs a home without small children. She gets along well with the senior dog in her foster home, and she enjoys meeting new doggy friends. Miss Brick rides well in the car, too, but she needs a step stool or a boost to get inside. But don't let her stubby legs fool you -- she loves a good hike! Unenthused by the fenced yard, Miss Brick craves one or two hours of vigorous walking every day. Because she is a sturdy, eager girl who wants to go-go-go, she needs a front clip harness and a strong handler. Oh, and Miss Brick takes "Stop and smell the roses" quite seriously! She prefers setting the pace of her walks, enjoying new sights and smells as she goes along. She likes spending her outdoor time with people and will often look back to make sure they are nearby. Despite her love for the outdoors, Miss Brick is also a professional napper and occasional oversized lapdog. She likes snoozing in her doggy bed throughout the day, and she sleeps through the night without a peep. She is fully house-trained. Like any dedicated home guardian, Miss Brick occasionally spots people and dogs out the window. She may be petite, but her height doesn't stop her from hopping on the windowsill and barking to "protect" her home. She does not feel comfortable around cats and needs a cat-free home. Miss Brick will need a calm decompression period to settle into her home. She can be mouthy in new situations -- face-licking may turn into ear-nibbling! -- but her manners quickly improve once she feels comfortable and secure. A happy-go-lucky girl, Miss Brick is ready to be your adventure and nap buddy. She is full of love, affection, and zest for life! HISTORY Miss Brick was rescued by a Good Samaritan in a rural county. HEALTH Miss Brick is up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed. PHYSICAL Miss Brick has soft, honey-brown fur and a powdered-donut face. Her undersides are white, and she has white on her legs. Miss Brick loves to smile, showing off her pink nose and even pinker tongue!

Story
Loki is a great dog and I have been so torn with the decision to rehome him but it may be what's best for him. I am moving up north where there are more size restrictions on pets when looking for housing. I also got him with my partner at the time and she sadly passed away and I got left with all the animals we shared. We welcomed him into our home when he was 10 weeks old from the SPCA. & is now just over 2 years old. He loves to play and is a medium to higher-energy type of dog. He is a smart dog and sometimes goofy. He knows to sit, down, stay, spin, paw/shake, etc. He is very food-motivated. he stays in the crate when I am at work and doesn't bark when I get home. He sometimes thinks he's the neighborhood watch and may bark 1 or 2 times to alert you he heard a noise. he can be calmed with nature sounds. Loki would be great in a home with a yard or someone who wants a workout buddy for runs or likes to take longer walks. He sometimes chases my cat so be cautious if you have one.
