Roy is a 1-year-old Malinois mix with a curious, independent spirit and a soft, gentle heart. He came to us as a stray—though it seems he may have had a collar before, no one came looking for him. Roy is a thoughtful explorer who enjoys taking his time to sniff, investigate, and wander at his own pace. He can be a little timid and cautious at first, especially with new people, handling, or sudden movements, but with patience and gentle introductions, he warms up and shows his affectionate, wiggly side. He enjoys treats and will happily engage when he feels comfortable.This sensitive guy would do best in a home with experienced handlers who understand dogs who need calm, slow introductions to new people, places, and situations. He is tolerant and gentle with other dogs, especially when introductions are managed carefully, but is happiest with the ability to explore independently as well. Roy is not recommended for homes with young children at this time.

When someone enters her kennel, her first instinct is often to step back and give herself some space. But with patience, kindness, and a gentle approach, Ivy begins to relax and show her true personality. Once leashed, Ivy walks nicely and enjoys getting out to explore her surroundings. She`s thoughtful and observant, taking in the world at her own pace. While she may lack confidence right now, she has all the potential to become a wonderful companion with the right support. One thing that helps Ivy feel more comfortable is the company of other dogs. She enjoys being around canine friends and may benefit from a confident, well-mannered dog companion who can help show her that the world isn`t such a scary place. As a Belgian Malinois mix, Ivy is intelligent and capable, but she will need an adopter committed to helping her build confidence through positive experiences, gentle socialization, and ongoing training. Watching her grow and come out of her shell will be one of the most rewarding journeys her future family can experience. Ivy may be shy when you first meet her, but behind those cautious eyes is a dog waiting for someone to believe in her.
