Story
Barbie is a sweet and loving Anatolian Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur Mix. She&#39s estimated to be 3yr old, and weighs 50lbs. Barbie is great with other dogs - she is friendly but also respectful. She quickly adapts to other dogs&#39 play styles and is more submissive in nature. Barbie is house broken, is working on her crate training, and has good leash manners. She already knows her basic commands, and regularly plops over when you ask her to sit so she can receive belly rubs! She has a medium energy level, she enjoys doing a few zoomies but will happily hang out with you and chill. Barbie is a very loving and loyal girl who will make a wonderful addition to a family! She can be a little timid when first meeting people but is quick to warm up and trust you. She adores her humans, and thrives off affection she receives. Barbie would love to have another playful pup in her forever home, but this is not a requirement. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting Barbie, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.May 3, 2024, 1:59 pm

Story
This adventurous pup has a zest for life that knows no bounds. Whether exploring the great outdoors on his daily walks or indulging in his favorite snacks, Beethoven's enthusiasm is infectious. His love for treats is matched only by his love for human companionship, and he thrives on the attention and affection of his devoted friends. One of Beethoven's endearing quirks is his blissful ignorance of his own size. Though he may tower over some of his canine counterparts, Beethoven sees himself as a lap dog at heart, eager to snuggle up with anyone willing to share a cozy spot.Unfortunately, Beethoven came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center heartworm positive, but the good news is that we will provide the necessary treatment for him at no additional cost to you! While Beethoven is undergoing heartworm treatment, he will be placed in our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program so that you can start bonding with your new pet and give him a calm place to get better! Heartworm treatment is very safe, and the success rate is high, the Pet Resource Center prefers dogs like Beethoven to recover in a home with an adopter rather than in a shelter. If you want to learn more about Beethoven and how the FTA process works, please stop by or call us at 678-965-7185!

Story
Just like 'the voice', Frank, I have had quite the life. (Although I hear his may have been a bit more glamorous) See, it's been a long, long time since I had a home to call my own. I was found as a stray, walking around as a stranger in the night and in horrible condition. The type of condition that when the nice people at Adopt a Golden Atlanta saw me, they couldn't even tell what breed of dog I was. They knew I was a large dog, with very little fur and skin and bones, but that is it. I sure am glad they saw me and came to my rescue anyways. That was the moment my life changed and they promised me the best is yet to come. And boy were they right! I'm in great shape now and quite handsome if I do say so myself! My dashing good looks and tall stature draw a lot of attention and looks out in public and I eat it all up! I love to be with my people, so I am looking for a forever home with someone home a lot. I'm named after the Sultan of Swoon so it only makes sense that I'm a big lover as well. I will admit, sometimes things left on the counter are too much of a temptation and I help myself. But that's life, right? I also do prefer to only have humans as my companions at home because I like it my way. I am fine with other dogs outside of the home, but prefer all the attention on just me in the home. I get a kick out of you playing with me and I love my stuffies. A fenced yard would be wonderful to sit outside and feel the summer wind as well. Everybody loves somebody and now is my turn! I'd love to meet you and woo you with my charm, dreamy eyes and loving personality! Everybody loves somebody and now is my turn! "It's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind, if you're young at heart."

Story
Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a 3-year-old, 65-pound, Great Dane & Catahoula mix (we think). He’s house and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He’s looking for his forever family and wants a home where he’s your only kiddo (human or furry). A little more about Bearon: He can be wary of strangers and does best with slow introductions. Once he knows you, he’s quite the love bug and very sweet. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best as an only pet due to his occasional tendency to guard his food or toys. He’s an energetic boy, and a fenced backyard would be very helpful in getting his energy out each day. Once he’s exercised, he’s ready for a good snooze on the couch with you.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.           May 6, 2024, 5:41 am

Story
Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 7 year old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me.    I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things!   I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo!   I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are:   Must have Great Dane experience No children  No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work.  Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!      If you think you would love to be my new family and would love to give me the home I need to live out my golden years, please let Angels Among Us know!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Trainers Dream Dog    I need an owner looking to put the time into me. I am extremely smart and will be an obedient dog that would make a great therapy dog or do great with things like agility courses or maybe even dock diving. But, I'm not quite there yet. Fommy says I'm a handful, but so smart. I need my adopter to really know my breed because I want to work, I want to do things, I want to learn. I love playing fetch and doing enrichment games. And so far, I haven't had those things in life. Please help me to learn. Malinois are very intelligent and alert. They also have strong herding and protection instincts. We are intense dogs who are play-oriented and sensitive. Training should be fun, consistent, and positive.   I am 2.5 years old and already know so many commands and games, I just need someone that's just as excited as I am to learn and do those things.   Right now, my energy level is pretty high and I sometimes think I am tiny! However, I'm 80 pounds, and I may knock over small kiddos, so I should only have older kids in the house. I will also try to herd small children.   I get along great with dogs out and about, but I'm working on sharing my home space. I would probably prefer to just have you all to myself. Fommy says a fenced yard is a must, so that I can continue my training and have lots of space to burn energy.   If you are looking for a loyal partner to spend lots of time with, I'm your guy! Please talk to my Fommy to learn more about me!   For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
