Story
Cali is approximately 1 year old. She is a great dog. Loves to play fetch, tug-o-war, run in the back yard, and get belly rubs. She’s great with other dogs. She can sit, stay, and get a toy on command. She is basically potty trained with a few accidents here and there. She would be great in a home with older kids as she tends to jump and nip at small kids faces. She has a lot of energy and we don’t have the time she needs. Overall, she’s a great dog, just needs a home without small children!

Story
This handsome guy is sweet, loves being pet, going for walks, hiking, and playing with other dogs. He is very timid at first since he has been abused. Looking for a patient family that will give him time to warm up and learn to trust. Good with dogs large and small. Likes lounging on the couch and wading in his pool when not busy playing. Needs a good 6 foot fence, as he will run away if scared. Give this guy a chance and call his foster mom to set up a meeting. 601-479-2601

Story
Winston is a sweet and loving 1.5-year-old boy. Winston had surgery to remove one of his back legs due to being hit by a car. Now Winston is running and playing with the other dogs just like any other young guy.      Winston is everybody's new best friend. He adores school age kids, plays well with dogs big and small and is an all around goofy loveable dogs. His ideal home is one with a dog door leading to a securely fenced yard. Winston is amazing and smart.  He learned how to use the doggy door with a bad leg and now is a tripod. He is quick to learn and very lovable. Winston is only about 35 pounds and would love another dog to wrestle and play with him. Winson loves everybody and adores school age kids. Due to his injury he will never be a dog that needs or wants long walks...a yard where he can play would be ideal! A dog door is important too!   Winston has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Winston could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application* at: https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ .       *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  October 19, 2024, 8:57 pm

Story
Meet Edmond, an adorable almost 13-lb, 15 week-old mini something mix who is ready to find his forever home! I am sort of like a mini cattle dog!  Background: Edmond was found as a stray with his brother, Felix. Can you believe two tiny sweethearts survived alone on the streets in the middle of summer?  Personality: Edmond is a bundle of joy! He is a curious guy who likes to explore. He loves to play with toys and other dogs before napping in his foster parent’s lap.   Health: Edmond has been dewormed, neutered, microchipped and received his bordetella and first set of distemper/parvo vaccines. Our rescue will pay for his remaining puppy shots.  Training: As a young puppy, Edmond is still learning the ropes. He is working on potty training in his foster home but will need continued training.  Ideal Home: Edmond would thrive in just about any kind of home where he can get plenty of love and attention. He would do well with a family that has the time to continue his training and socialization. Edmond gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a furry sibling to play with.  Adoption Requirements: We are accepting applications for foster-to-adopt! Terms of a foster-to-adopt agreement include taking Edmond for his remaining shots at one of our vet partners.   Week of 10/7: distemper/parvo booster  Week of 10/28: distemper/parvo booster  Week of 11/18: distemper/parvo booster  His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses as outlined above. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  October 19, 2024, 8:57 pm
