Story
Winston is a sweet and loving 1.5-year-old boy. Winston had surgery to remove one of his back legs due to being hit by a car. Now Winston is running and playing with the other dogs just like any other young guy.      Winston is everybody's new best friend. He adores school age kids, plays well with dogs big and small and is an all around goofy loveable dogs. His ideal home is one with a dog door leading to a securely fenced yard. Winston is amazing and smart.  He learned how to use the doggy door with a bad leg and now is a tripod. He is quick to learn and very lovable. Winston is only about 35 pounds and would love another dog to wrestle and play with him. Winson loves everybody and adores school age kids. Due to his injury he will never be a dog that needs or wants long walks...a yard where he can play would be ideal! A dog door is important too!   Winston has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Winston could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application* at: https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ .       *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  July 25, 2024, 6:32 pm

Story
Howdy my name is MIka and I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself! I'm a sweet silly cattle/heeler dog. I was out in the wilds and just recently rescued. My new adventure is to learn what it is to be a dog and boy is it fun! I've got a happy little foster home where I'm learning from all my play friends. I've recently found rolling in the grass and chasing flying insects to be a blast! I'm a little shy at first but get more confident with encouraging words and chin scratches! I like to trust falls onto my hoomans so as they have optimal access to my belly for rubs and pats. And have you heard of this thing called a couch?! It's my favorite thing in the world! I love to find a spot and sit with my human while they watch telly, read a book or even just nap. I'm all about going with the flow. With the right encouragement, environment and love I will excel at carving myself into your heart! I truly look forward to finding my forever home and spending my days having so much fun and showing off what a good girl I am! I have a world of love to give and hope to share with my new family soon.  Mika is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset medical fees. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Mika could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application at:       https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ .     *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. This handsome guy is sweet, loves being pet, going for walks, hiking, and playing with other dogs. He is very timid at first since he has been abused. Looking for a patient family that will give him time to warm up and learn to trust. Good with dogs large and small. Likes lounging on the couch and wading in his pool when not busy playing. Needs a good 6 foot fence, as he will run away if scared. Give this guy a chance and call his foster mom to set up a meeting. 601-479-2601

Story
Her pet parents are 29 and just had their first baby last February. She was a one year anniversary gift. We spent as much time nurturing her as we could but there’s not a way for her to stay at my new apartment with me and my infant so we need an immediate solution for her. A lot of the shelters in Surprise are letting us know they are over filled due to the heat. Please help this sweet loving dog find her indoor forever home. ❤️😭

Story
PWRESCUE.ORG **Phoenix Metro Area Only* Meet the stunning Miss Haley!  She is a 2 year’s young, 38 pound Cattle dog.  Haley is at her happiest when she is playing with her doggie friends and going hiking, jogging, walking shopping and riding in the car with her human. Her favorite word is "GO" and will want to be included in your life. She spent the first year of her life living mostly in a kennel with little human interaction, so she is timid with meeting humans and it takes time to earn her trust.  She will allow gentle petting while getting to know you and because she likes to “GO,” daily walking, hiking and jogging will be very helpful to help gain her trust.  Her owner must be patient and understanding in order to get to know her, but once she trusts you, you will see the fun, goofy young girl who wants to live a fun, playful life. In the home, she is crate trained, potty trained, does not bark and is not destructive. She plays with her toys and her friends or chills-out in any of her favorite spots.  Haley loves to be brushed and takes a bath calmly. In the community, Haley is dog-social and meets dogs nicely but with humans, her initial reaction when being approached is avoidance.  She will hide behind your legs so if someone wants to meet her, she will need a slow approach to petting. Haley would do best in a home with a yard for play and zoomies, one or more playful dogs and one or two active adults who have the patience to get to know her and to introduce her to the community.  We recommend a child-free home because of her timidness and human avoidance.  She is not a cuddly dog, but likes to be with you.  Haley is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.  If you are interested in this beautiful girl, please visit our website at:  https://pwrescue.org and click on the “Adopt” button to complete an application.  Meet and greets can be set up with an approved application only.  Her adoption fee is $250.00.  Pathways Home Animal Rescue July 24, 2024, 10:52 pm
