While she may be shy at first and prefers not to be touched until she feels safe, her love for companionship shines through once she's comfortable. Bianca is fully housebroken and doggy-door trained. Bianca loves her people to talk to her and will joyfully wag to show her expression and appreciation. She gets along well with other dogs, though she appreciates having her own space during mealtime. As for cats, she'll only chase if they run, and even then, it's all in playful fun. One of Biancas quirks is that she gets a bit anxious when left alone for extended periods. That said, she's perfectly content to nap in her cozy pen while her humans are out and about. This sweet young boy was one of the last dogs taken from the Navajo County hoarding property that had 47 dogs in one place over the summer. He is very sweet and friendly with humans, loves to give kisses, and just wants someone to give him a chance. Rex has been through a lot in his short life. He was born up in Holbrook so far off the beaten path you have to drive over an hour down a dirt road to get there. He was one of the last dogs removed from the property and was taken to the Holbrook animal shelter where he spent a week before we found him a foster. This foster had a young child and Rex did ok at first, though was pretty withdrawn and overwhelmed at his new environment. He is a sweet boy who doesn't want to hurt anyone, but having no prior exposure to kids, we think it's best he go to a home without small kids in the future. The foster did not have very much experience with dogs in general and was not comfortable with a dog that needed as much time to adjust as he did. Rex is doing so much better now than when he first came down, though he has been in boarding for 3 months! He jumps for joy when someone lets him out to play and loves to give kisses and be pet. Many of his initial inhibitions are gone. He has shown us what a friendly guy he can be. He will still have an adjustment period in a new home, but we are hopeful it will be minimal compared to what he has gone through. As much as we would like to find him an adopter, we would love even more just to get him out of boarding - a foster would be huge for this guy. Patches4 enjoys stealing toys and chewing things. She is good with larger dogs, unknown with kids or cats. She is kennel trained and housebroken. Part of a bonded pair with Cupcake. Patches4 has been vet checked and spayed, is up-to-date on vaccinations, and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $300. This is a courtesy post for another rescue.
