Story
Mango is a delightful dog adopted from the Humane Society last June by a family that cannot provide the activity she needs. She is definitely a working dog. Very friendly and loving and well-behaved when she gets exercise. Mango has excellent conformation, is a dark brindle with white markings, ears like a German Shepherd and a curly tail. Photos coming later today or call me if want faster... posting issues. When originally rescued (June 2023), Mango was positive for Parvo, but tested negative two weeks later when spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. This is a smart, loving dog that I would keep myself if we didn't operate a cat rescue in our home with a plant nursery in the back yard, If she sounds like she might be your forever best friend, please call Jana Selig at 480-652-1477 to arrange meeting. Call me, Susanne, for pictures and if Jana not available (working). Yes, texting fine.

We would love to show you what he has learned and how to advance his training when he finds his forever family. Please come to take a look at our happy Sammy. How could you not fall in love with this sweet boy. He is energetic and loves to wrestle and will bounce all over to show you how happy he is. When he sees you coming, his wag will start going and it will never stop! A very unique quality that Sammy has is that we believe he is deaf. That doesn't slow him down though! The staff is currently teaching him different commands with certain signing and would love to show you what he is learning! Doing commands and signing with Sammy will be a great way to deepen your bond together! Not that you'll need it, Sammy loves everyone!! Even though Sammy seeks a friend in all people and other fur friends, sometimes he can be a little much for other dogs because of his excitement. Please bring any current fur residents with you for a meet and greet before taking Sammy home. If you are looking for your new best friend and someone who will love you endlessly, come make Sammy a part of your family. He is waiting for YOU!

You be the judge. I do have a cute face, soft fur and a charming personality. I am looking for someone who will love to have an adventurous puppy who loves to explore, give lots of kisses and snuggle with at night. Of course, as a young puppy, I will need leash training and patience with house manners. I am also looking forward to being the best dog in the neighborhood and everyone is my best friend. We can learn together on how to be awesome.

I just want to put a smile on your face and keep it there forever. We can go on long walks, go on a lunch date and maybe a soccer or baseball game where I can watch my best buddy play. Of course, I may be a bit sad since I can't play on the field but I will be rooting for homerun or score a goal. All these dreams may take a while as I will need to learn how to walk on leash or good social manners. I look forward to our training sessions and getting lots of praise and treats for being a great pup.

LUX! Lux has been with us longer than ANY PUP. She's a shepherd, she needs space exert her energy and be a dog. All Lux needs is someone to love her, create healthy boundaries, and give her space to run and play. She does great with all humans, and solicits pets and affection. She's already been in 2 homes, neither of which were the right fit for her. NONE of this was her fault. Lux would do best as your one and only.. She's playful, loving, smart, and walks amazing on leash! Her ideal adopter will give her the exercise and attention she needs to thrive! Lux may not grab everyone's attention with her pics , but she is SO WORTH a meet and greet to see how remarkable she is! Can someone give this girl a chance?? Story
Jack will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions. ** Adoption begins with a Foster-To-Adopt arrangement and, once Basic and Intermediate Obedience training are completed, adoption can be finalized. ** Jack has come a very long way! He loves life and has made so many new friends.   Jack *must have* at least one happy, friendly, same-size dog friend in his new family. Jack takes treats gently and loves to run and play hard!   Jack requires a large private, fenced yard to enjoy off-leash play. Apartment life is not appropriate for him as he likes to share his space with humans that he knows well.   If you believe you're a possible match for Jack, please complete our online adoption application!   We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio, photos, or status are updated. "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household. "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play *on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area.* Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private, in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We do not place dogs in situations where there are "drained" or empty swimming pools, which are a fall hazard and contribute to the propogation of mosquitos. Last and not least, we DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life will take them. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!   April 27, 2024, 12:06 am

YES we're still accepting applications for Lenny.  He is a sweet, playful guy that loves affection and pets.  Lenny is a fan favorite, bright and funny with a luscious coat and beautiful blue eyes.  He's eager to please and is a quick learner.  He does not need a companion dog but would not mind having someone his size to run around with.  This little boy is a gem!!!   Lenny will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.   If you believe you're a possible match for this dog - based on the detailed profile posted on our website - please complete our online adoption application!    We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio, photos, or status are updated. You can also opt to receive notifications for your favorite breed(s). "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. Story
“Princess Grace” is an easy, happy, and very lovable dog. She LOVES walks and does beautifully on leash - even with lots of "dog traffic" she is a superstar! Grace gets very excited to go for a walk and enjoys every minute of it. So it is extra fun to watch her arrive back at home and do crazy zoomies in the backyard. She also enjoys car rides, and has a lot of fun playing hide and seek with her foster mom.   Grace's foster mom describes her as "a dream dog" -- she lounges happily while foster mom does desk work, and loves to accompany her for garden chores. Grace thrives on cuddles and attention. She is a beautiful, interesting companion and a bit of an "old soul" with a silly, joyful spirit. Grace is *exceptionally* well-behaved in the home. While trustworthy and independent, she also likes check in for pets and bellyrubs.   Grace currently weighs a fluffy 55 pounds, with a healthy goal weight of a bit less than 50 pounds.  We were told that Grace became possessive of food and toys in her prior home, and that young children made her anxious. She will SHINE as an only dog with access to a large, fenced backyard of her own. (Not a candidate for apartment living or a dog-parks lifestyle.) Grace maintains a cat- and bunny-free yard, but is not an obsessive barker - even with one living nearby… Princess Grace's new home will be in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions! Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a good match for her, please complete our adoption application ,  detailing your experience with training and socializing herding breeds.   • "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord.
