Story
In March 2025, upon hearing news that a wildfire was spreading rapidly, WEACT set out in the early morning darkness toward Sancheong, Gyeongnam. With a trunk full of bottled water, dog food, and rescue equipment, we departed without hesitation. From that day on, the flames raged fiercely, spreading to Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, Andong, and Yeongdeok. As the fire roared, animals that could run escaped in all directions. But those still tied with leashes—unable to be freed in time—were trapped, unable to take a single step in the searing flames.Even the ones who did escape couldn’t endure the unbearable heat and collapsed with severe burns. The #GyeongbukWildfireRescueDogs barely clung to life just steps from death, but they were left with terrible pain and trauma. It was there, in the midst of that devastation, Haemil was rescued from an animal hoarder house.

Story
I have had Shirley and her brother Roy since they were puppies. Shirley was born deaf but is still very healthy and smart, and Roy really helped her a lot. She does understand quite a lot of (dog) sign language. She craves attention and is jealous of any other animal getting attention. She is used to being inside, but also seems to enjoy being outside. I have moved from a large home with a big yard to a small apartment, and the quarters are just too close for them. Since she is deaf and now, at 12 years old, needs a bit more attention and patience - more than I can give, since I was hit by a car while on my scooter! I would love to see her as a single animal with a loving person or family in her senior years. Roy is also looking for a home.

Story
Purebred Australian Queensland Heeler Cattle Dog. My name is Roy Rogers, Shirley Temple's brother. We have lived together from birth and lived with our family since we were puppies. Our family is no longer, and my dad is no longer physically capable of keeping me. A home with children and/or other pets is fine. I'm 11 years young, I'm in good health, neutered, love attention, and really need a new home. 🙏 The situation with my dad is now worse - he was hit by a car when on his scooter!

Story
Olivia is a very gentle, smart and appreciative pup. She would be fine as an only dog or part of a pack. Playful, easy going, will bark at strangers (alerts) but would only talk a good game. Olivia, her “baby daddy” and 8 puppies were saved from living in a rural area. See video link attached. Thank you to our friends Hope For Paws for saving them and letting us team up to foster and find them all forever homes. Olivia, Sherlock (dad) and two of the pups are still available.
