Story

Lulu is a sweet, ~1 year old Cattle Dog mix. She is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, and is on Simparica trio. Lulu is the sweetest girl with a big personality. She is incredibly smart and trainable, food and affection motivated, and is a huge cuddle bug. Lulu loves to play tug and fetch, and knows sit. Lulu was found as a stray, so we are still working on her manners. She is not guarding over her toys at all and will bring them close to you when she wants to play! Unfortunately, she has not adjusted well to city life and would do best in a quieter home with a yard for her to play in. She has become leash reactive in the past few weeks and is fearful of other dogs and pulls on the leash/barks at dogs who get too close. She is a bit better with people on the street, but is also very anxious when strangers pass by and will also bark at them. Our busy neighborhood is far too overstimulating for her; she is not thriving and is unfortunately not getting the exercise that she needs.

Since my last so-called family dumped me on Christmas Eve 2022, I have been getting myself some extra help to make myself more desirable for humans. Let me tell you, it was not easy since I can be a little anxious and stubborn at the same time, but I am a good and willing student who also likes to please. So, here's the new me: I know my commands. I love going for walks. I love working out on the treadmill or running along with your bike. I enjoy getting to know other dogs but prefer a slow introduction. I can stay in my crate when you need to leave for errands but I'm not gonna lie — I'm still happiest when I can be right next to you. After all, we dogs are made to be man's or woman's best friend, and that is definitely who I want to be for you. Milo is full of energy and joy. He loves people and wants to be a part of the family, especially joining group hugs. He could get excited meeting new people but calms down with a treat. He's brilliant, curious, and loves playing with his toys and learning new tricks. He seems eager to play with other dogs. Herky is a pure bred 18 month old (dob 10/6/2022) Aussie. He is a sweet dog and very good in the house. sensitive and smart. knows the commands stay, lay down, shake, go, wait, no, and drop it. in public he is easily distracted by other dogs and his recall is not super reliable. He loves to play fetch, frisbee, and tug. Herky also loves puzzles and plays alone well to entertain himself. he is eager to please and truly loves all familiar humans in his life equally. v snuggly and loves pillows. Herky is smart and learns commands in about 3x-5x times. he is very much a puppy still and learning how to play gently. he needs lots of exercise and play/attention. herky is good with other medium-large dogs and plays off-leash at dog daycare often. have all sorts of awesome dog gear and toys - happy to share those. he is able to stay home alone for 6-8 hours. He usually goes out first thing in the am and before dinner. he eats k2x/day

My favorite things are another dog to show me around the place, quiet walks with my pack, resting on a nice comfy dog bed, and playing with my friends.I’ve been in training recently and have learned so much! I walk nicely on a leash, can walk on a treadmill, speak doggie door, have excellent house manners, don’t help myself to furniture, take treats gently, ride nicely in a car, and I like to chase balls but don’t bring them back. I am told I’m an excellent companion, I’m not sure what that means, but I do love my trainer. I’m sure I will love you too; I just may need a little time to adjust to my new surroundings.I like to sleep in a crate at night, and hope you will follow some of my trainer’s suggestions. I am not the best with change, so a calm dog in the household, who can show me the ropes, is a must. I will thrive in an adult-only household with consistency, regular exercise, and no cats. I don’t like strangers and would prefer not to be in places with many people. I’m shy, remember?
