Story
this boy came from a farm outside Miami, where he was left to fend for himself. Prior car accident left him a front leg (left) amputee. He has been on his own for awhile and in typical heeler tenacity has managed on three legs. He is a very calm dog, okay with others, good with livestock, neutral to cats (doesnt chase). He is very good with people. Leash work is okay. What this boy needs is a foster or adopter, he needs to be in a soft comfy bed in a cool home. His back legs are tender, perhaps from being on the outside so much. He has had basic shots, hw negative. He will need his legs examined. But what he needs most is LOVE, a calm environ more LOVE and people that care. you know, your basic rights!! He will be fostered in Hernando, Fl Citrus County area, and will be available for adoption after being medically cleared.

Story
This sweet boy came from Broward County Florida, in hopes to finding his forever home! He is a very energetic boy that requires plenty of outside time with his toys and other dogs! Cassian does amazing in play groups and usually burns all of his energy that way! He also love his peanut butter kong toy for a mental stimulant. He is a very trainable dog who enjoys training sessions and plenty of enrichment. He would be best with an active person or someone with a lot of yard for him to run around in. Not only is he very energetic, he loves his cuddle time too! He is a companion motivated dog and will most likely be attached to “his person” to play with him and love him. He’s just a lovable boy, looking for his forever home!

Story
Please welcome Loxie to Ewenity Farm. She is a very very scared 2 yr old heeler mix. Curious about attention and people, yet very scared about the world, she will take some time to open up and start gaining confidence. Currently fostered in Bradenton with a temporary foster. She is in need of a foster that has some dog savvy, fenced yard, and another kind patient dog, not in your face variety. She will blossom in a quiet environment. She will need teaching to use a leash. If anyone can help please let us know! Thanks!! PUPDATE Red girl Loxi is doing better slowly and exploring. She was scared at the vets but allowed handling and all care could be given including nail trim. Please consider fostering this sweet girl for a few months to help her along the way to a forever home!! PUPDATE Red Pan is doing better She is very submissive, but will come slowly to you if you call her. She is so afraid of being hit. Loves other dogs, plays well with them!! Working on that slowly. We are learning to walk on lead and do some very basic commands. She does know sit, recall will be her hardest to learn as she is so hesitant to come to you. While she is submissive she is also curious and is very polite amongst other dogs. You can see sheer joy on her face when she is running. She does seem to like the water, so she may be a water baby! She does not yet know how to play with toys, but will easily learn. Fostered in Bradenton and ready to go to a new home with folk that can be patient loving and consistent, and let this pup blossom at her own speed. Another kind dog is a must! She is still learning not to jump up on people so not sure about toddlers . Sudden moves and sounds still very much spook her. Anyone interested in her, please contact us and we can chat about her. She would be a great project dog for a trainer, to further their skills.

Story
I met this handsome boy at the shelter and I must say the pictures I took do not do him justice. He is absolutely stunning and has on incredible build. In the loud kennel he was curled up in the tightest ball absolutely scared. Once out in the yard he was shy but very interested to see all of what was going on outside. My 6 yr old was in the yard with us but the handler kept him on lead as he was still on his stray hold and until they are off that they do not let anyone under 15 yrs interact with them. He seemed absolutely unfazed by my son being there and running around making noise. He came to me seeking scratches and is in need of a good bath. When he first came out into the yard, he urinated for a very long time so the kennel staff and myself both agreed he definitely seems kennel or house broke because he had been holding it the whole time. I am sure he is an absolute love who will want all your attention outside of the scary shelter setting.
