Story
With a personality as strong as the one he is named after, six-year-old Apollo is a legend all his own. He is full of fiery spirit and is eager to go and do almost everything. He is very handsome and knows just how charming he needs to be to win you over. When out in the yards, he runs all over with a smirk across his face, enticing those around to join the fun. His favorite activity is playing ball, showcasing his speed while proudly bringing the ball back, triumphantly. A close second is going on a nice long walk with some of our volunteers. He is in need of some leash training as he can pull at times, and he loves to play grab the leash when first putting it on. He will sit for treats, which has helped, and has shown he is very treat motivated. Toys are also a fun pasttime, squeakers or a good stuffed Kong with peanut butter keep this guy happy. Apollo can be affectionate, showing it in his own way by leaning up against your legs, and is always prompt for scratches, but is not a fan of full on embracement. He has been making more and more human friends, but is not to happy sharing space with other canine companions. With such a large personality, an experienced owner would be ideal for this exceptional dog. Adventure, excitement and a world of opportunity, Apollo would make a wonderful addition to the right home, come see for yourself at Satchel's Last Resort! For an appointment to meet Apollo, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will get back to you.

Meet Sydney! The SWEETEST, most perfect girl. She's so easy going, ready to go anywhere with you and perfectly behaved anywhere that you want to take her. Sydney is somewhere between 10-12 years old, but doesn't seem a day over 6. She has plenty of life left in her! She loves to go for walks, go to stores or run errands with you, and meet people. She is great with other dogs, but doesn't really play much and just peacefully co-exists with them. We could expect her to be cat friendly too. She doesn't react to anything. Sydney is looking for a companion and is a very easy dog to fall in love with. She's in Tampa and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $150. www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
This sweet boy came from Broward County Florida, in hopes to finding his forever home! He is a very energetic boy that requires plenty of outside time with his toys and other dogs! Cassian does amazing in play groups and usually burns all of his energy that way! He also love his peanut butter kong toy for a mental stimulant. He is a very trainable dog who enjoys training sessions and plenty of enrichment. He would be best with an active person or someone with a lot of yard for him to run around in. Not only is he very energetic, he loves his cuddle time too! He is a companion motivated dog and will most likely be attached to “his person” to play with him and love him. He’s just a lovable boy, looking for his forever home!

Story
Please welcome Loxie to Ewenity Farm. She is a very very scared 2 yr old heeler mix. Curious about attention and people, yet very scared about the world, she will take some time to open up and start gaining confidence. Currently fostered in Bradenton with a temporary foster. She is in need of a foster that has some dog savvy, fenced yard, and another kind patient dog, not in your face variety. She will blossom in a quiet environment. She will need teaching to use a leash. If anyone can help please let us know! Thanks!! PUPDATE Red girl Loxi is doing better slowly and exploring. She was scared at the vets but allowed handling and all care could be given including nail trim. Please consider fostering this sweet girl for a few months to help her along the way to a forever home!! PUPDATE Red Pan is doing better She is very submissive, but will come slowly to you if you call her. She is so afraid of being hit. Loves other dogs, plays well with them!! Working on that slowly. We are learning to walk on lead and do some very basic commands. She does know sit, recall will be her hardest to learn as she is so hesitant to come to you. While she is submissive she is also curious and is very polite amongst other dogs. You can see sheer joy on her face when she is running. She does seem to like the water, so she may be a water baby! She does not yet know how to play with toys, but will easily learn. Fostered in Bradenton and ready to go to a new home with folk that can be patient loving and consistent, and let this pup blossom at her own speed. Another kind dog is a must! She is still learning not to jump up on people so not sure about toddlers . Sudden moves and sounds still very much spook her. Anyone interested in her, please contact us and we can chat about her. She would be a great project dog for a trainer, to further their skills.

These pups are in Sarasota, Florida too!

Story
We adopted Winnie from a Rescue in 2019. She was coming on 3 years old then and she was the perfect angel. She still is and we love her deeply. It breaks our hearts that we even have to consider rehoming her. However, in the past two years, we have come to realize that she cannot be in a home with children(under 6) or other animals. While she is the sweetest, gentlest, and cuddliest dog, she is aggressive towards young children and other animals. She is potty trained and loves her crate. She would love a home where she can sleep on the bed or snuggle up on the couch with you. She is independent, low energy, and is low maintenance. We are grieving that we have to give her up since she will forever be our first baby, but she deserves a home where she will receive her owner's full attention and with an infant, another dog, and 9-5 jobs, we are unable to provide that for our sweet girl.
