Story
Moved to Florida with intention of moving into a house but an apartment is what we have. Unfortunately due to restrictions we are no longer able to keep Jennings. He does have some issues when it comes to other animals and people. He is a barker and lunges at people and other animals when on walks. He will need an experienced handler. He does get along with our other dog but he grew up with her. When he is inside and around his people he is an amazing cuddler.

Story
Loki is nearly 6 years old and is a handsome dude. We adopted him 5 years ago as a puppy. He has had two rounds of levels of formal training school and is good with commands. He can be so sweet, so loving, and so loyal. Unfortunately since having kids and adapting to a busier life style, loki has had some behavioral changes. He has a temper and can be unpredictable. We have limited his interaction with our young children because it makes me nervous. We did formal training with him again and he listens to command so well but despite how much time and energy we give him, it doesn’t seem to be like enough. He has transitioned to a porch/outside dog during the day and he seems to enjoy that.

Story
Hello, this is Brownie, also known as Babygirl. She was born on January 26th, 2024. She is currently 2 years old, weighs 55 pounds, and has a lively, energetic personality. Brownie is affectionate and cuddly, with leadership qualities, making her a bundle of fun. She was part of our family before we had a baby, but due to allergies from my young son, we’re seeking a new home for her. She received training at a professional K9 training facility, which has ensured her recall commands are reliable, she responds well to commands like 'place,' and she is sociable with other dogs and people. Ideally, I am looking for a loving home that can give her a comfortable backyard, plenty of attention, and time to maintain her health. She is currently on a raw beef diet, specifically the Instinct brand, because she cannot tolerate chicken-based foods. Her coat remains shiny and healthy, even though I groom her only once a month, which highlights her low-maintenance grooming needs.

Story
Bear is a wonderful dog and needs attention which we are not able to give him as we are traveling several months out of the year. He’s a beautiful, smart dog that would thrive best with an active owner and a big yard.

Story
Hi, I’m Shadow. I’m a 3½yearold, 33pound Australian Shepherd blend who likes to ease into new friendships. I’m a quiet, observant and happy fella when I can take my time deciding when to step forward. Once I feel safe, I greet my people with soft enthusiasm and a gentle tail wag that says I’m glad you’re here. Favorite Things: Shadow enjoys cozy blankets, calm spaces and the freedom to relax without pressure. He’s not much of a toy fan and prefers doing his own thing, but once he’s comfortable, he settles nearby with quiet contentment. Training and Manners: He is house trained with regular outdoor breaks. Shadow walks nicely on a leash, rides politely in the car and sleeps in his dog bed at night. He’s still learning some basic manners, but he responds well to patient guidance. When left alone, he’s trustworthy; he simply gathers a blanket or two to build the perfect nap spot. Health and Care: Shadow is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He’ll need monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Regular brushing keeps his coat comfortable and helps him feel his best. Other Animals: He does well with dogs of all sizes and thrives in a home with more outgoing dogs that can help him with his confidence. His ideal home would have another dog to keep him company. He hasn’t met cats yet, but his calm nature suggests he may do fine with a slow introduction. Children: Shadow hasn’t lived with kids before. He should do well with older, dogsavvy children (10+) who understand his demeanor. Ideal Home: He would do well in an apartment, condo or townhome with regular outings. Shadow thrives in a quiet, predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. He doesn’t enjoy being approached directly, but when given space, he chooses connection on his own terms. Overall: Shadow is a gentle, introverted companion who blossoms slowly but deeply. He’s independent, lowkey and easy to live with, especially for someone who appreciates a calm, observant dog. Once he trusts you, he greets you with genuine warmth and settles into your life just as his name promises softly, steadily and always close by. Could Shadow be the one you’ve been looking for? Then head to www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like a match, his foster family will contact you. His adoption donation is $400. ##2623466##
