Meet Arlo, our gorgeous 4-year-old, Australian Cattle Dog! He sadly was returned due to unforeseen circumstances in his home, so we are hoping to get him back into a comfy home again soon. He weighs in at about 70lbs right now, and we are working to help him get his weight down. Arlo is a super sweet dog, who enjoys spending time with people and playing with toys. He doesn't seem to care about the other dogs he's been around. Arlo walks nicely on leash, as well. This boy is a great dog, and we love him so much! We'd love to see him back in a home where he can be comfy and less stressed.

Our love bug's adoption fee is $350 which includes being fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and fecal exam. Please open your heart and most loving home to this REALLY AMAZING angel! Note: All dogs require a $100 cash training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full. As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.

Meet Sammy-It's been a few weeks since Sammy has joined our rescue and we wanted to give an update on him. We believe he is around 4 years old; Heeler/terrier/pointer mix. He is housebroken, he doesn't need a crate he- he is great in the house. He has just finished most of his vetting, He is so sweet and loves you instantly, he loves to cuddle and gives kisses. We haven't found anything that he's afraid of but he seems to like to go outside at night to go potty and come back inside he doesn't like to stay outside too long. Does not like to go out when dark outside. He is great in the car he does need assistance to get in the car but he does jump out of the car. He did great with all the dog testing at animal control. We've had Chase for around 7yrs . He's a great dog. We leave him in the house all day while we're at work. He is very well house trained. We threw out his large dog crate a couple yrs ago because he just didn't need it and it took up to much space. But he loved his cage if that's what works for you. We have a 5yr old daughter and he will follow her around and lay down where she plays but he doesn't like her or other children petting him. So I list him as not good with kids but He's not aggressive towards them. He just typically grunts ,gets up and goes to another area to lay down. We're having another baby this year and don't want to worry about blocking him off from a crawling baby. So we hope to find our beloved family member a loving home.
