Story
We've had Chase for around 7yrs . He's a great dog. We leave him in the house all day while we're at work. He is very well house trained. We threw out his large dog crate a couple yrs ago because he just didn't need it and it took up to much space. But he loved his cage if that's what works for you. We have a 5yr old daughter and he will follow her around and lay down where she plays but he doesn't like her or other children petting him. So I list him as not good with kids but He's not aggressive towards them. He just typically grunts ,gets up and goes to another area to lay down. We're having another baby this year and don't want to worry about blocking him off from a crawling baby. So we hope to find our beloved family member a loving home.

Story
Meet Hazard. He is a 47 pound cattle dog mix. Don’t let his name fool you. The only thing he is a hazard to is chickens (and maybe cats and small animals). Hazard loves people. He can usually be found snuggled up by his person on the couch. He did really well with kids at the last adoption event he was at. Due to some cattle dog tendencies (he likes to play nip, which we are working on) it may be best that he not have small children in the house. Hazard gets along with the 2 other dogs in the household, but he is definitely more interested in people. Mostly the dogs coexist and ignore each other. Although he is starting to think about playing with them here and there as he gets more settled. Hazard is still learning about toys. He is starting to pick them up and carry them to his bed, but still not totally understanding playtime. Hazard does great on leash. He pulls very little and is usually walking pretty close to his person. He does great in the car as well. He would make the perfect hiking/adventure buddy! Hazard has not had any accidents in the house in the time he has been here. He will go into his crate with some encouragement and seems to do good in there while we are away. He sleeps in a crate in the bedroom at night. He is not a big barker, even when the other 2 dogs are barking. Hazard is a great medium sized dog. His personality is coming out more every day. He wants to please his people. Give this guy a chance. To meet me, please call the foster mom, Annie, at 815-685-0746. His adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive

Story
Stripes is a 1 y/o (dob 8/20/22) neutered male dog. He is medium in size weighing around 35-40#. Stripes brindle color and body shape lead is to believe he is a Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, chipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity. Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids. He loves other dogs and plays well with others. Stripes knows to do his business outside and keeps the house and his kennel clean. He can be shy at first but warms up quickly. He does well with other dogs and they help him build his confidence. Stripes loves his human and likes to be close to them when he isn’t playing with other dogs. He does put himself in his kennel while his foster mom gets her work done. Stripes may take a while to warm up but once he's comfortable he's very loving. He is very loyal to his main human. He feels comfort in his crate and enjoys furry toys. Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles. Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car and not in a crate. This sweet boy is looking for a caring home that will help him continue to build his confidence. He is being taken care of in TN but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
