Story
Bandit it a 2 year old cattle dog mix. He is about 40 pounds. He is good with other dogs, kids, cats, and both men and women. He is house broken and crate trained. Bandit is going to need a family who can be patient with him. He is not aggressive, just scared of everything right now. He comes from a horrible background where he was part of a hoarding situation where 81 dogs were living in an outside kennel. He has come a long way but still has a way to go before he is a "normal" dog. It is currently just a slow progress. But he is just going with the flow and I change things up on him. He is doing great but needs someone to continue to work with him. He's a great dog just really scared right now. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Kim at 630-639-7599. Charlie is a happy pup and an all around good boy. He turned a year in February. He is not a jumper or a barker and would make a great addition to any home. I am looking for a home for him that he can have more attention than he is able to get right now. He spends long periods alone and deserves more love and attention. He’s good with cats, kids, and other dogs.

She’s also pretty athletic so she would be a great running companion. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to try dog sports like agility. Juniper would be perfect! And best of all, Juniper has a very sweet disposition with every person she meets. She craves attention from her people and will be a loyal companion for years to come! She would be perfectly content being an only dog or possibly one other canine companion that suits her fancy. She's doggy selective, and would need a little time to warm up to a new BFF once they know she's in charge of the playtime antics. Juniper is a year or two old, 40-45 lb. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. Meet Roxanne! This sweet cattle dog mix is such a cuddle bug! At just four months old, she is already keeping her indoor area clean and goes outside to potty. Roxanne does well with other dogs and cats and loves attention. At this time, she is not a fan of being crated but does well outside of her crate. Roxanne’s current foster says she is absolutely precious and she could just hold her all day long. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Now an adult, he’s still hoping to find the forever home he’s always dreamed of. Robin is an active, intelligent dog with a lot of energy. He’s food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training and learning new tricks. With a dedicated owner who enjoys providing both mental and physical challenges, Robin will truly thrive. While Robin is friendly with the staff and volunteers, he can be a bit cautious with new people, as the shelter has been his only safe haven. He may not be a fan of big social settings, but once he trusts you, he’s a loving cuddle bug. Robin would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the only pet and receive all the attention he deserves.
