Story
🐾💛 This sweet pup is still figuring things out 💛🐾 Like many young dogs in a shelter environment, Miss Kiki is showing some big puppy emotions and is still learning how to feel safe, secure, and confident in the world around them. At this stage, they’re still building trust, boundaries, and understanding that good things don’t have to be protected or “kept safe” on their own. Right now, they can be a little “I don’t like to share yet” when it comes to valued items, which is just part of them learning how the world works—not a reflection of who they will become. With time, structure, and positive reinforcement, this is something that can improve as they gain confidence and trust in their people. With a patient adopter, a consistent daily schedule, and reward-based training, this pup has all the potential in the world to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Clear expectations, calm handling, and steady repetition will help them feel secure and learn how to make better choices over time. What they need most is not perfection—but guidance, consistency, and someone willing to invest in their growth. In the right home, this pup will absolutely thrive and develop into a loyal, loving dog who finally feels safe enough to relax and shine. 🐶✨ -Around 3 months old -Currently under 25lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $400 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. Meet your future best friend, — 🐾✨ This puppy is a perfect bundle of energy, curiosity, and irresistible cuteness—but like all puppies, — is still learning how to be the best dog possible. Continued basic training will be needed, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. With a growing body and a busy brain, puppies need structure, enrichment, and positive outlets for energy to prevent overstimulation, mouthiness, or the development of unwanted habits. A home committed to consistency, patience, and mental and physical exercise will help — grow into a confident, well-balanced adult dog. With the right foundation, the possibilities are endless! 💛🐶 -Around 2.5-3 months old -Currently under 25lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $400 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. Story
Meet Eve! A VERY nice girl who arrived to PAR on December 23rd after she found herself impounded at the county shelter from running the streets in Sanilac County. This young lady is full of life and there is never a dull moment with this girl! Eve loves to entertain herself playing with toys on her own and is quite independent. When she feels a bit stressed, she will calm herself down by suckling on a blanket (never chews it). Eve communicates well when it comes to her needs and she does best with a routine, like most dogs. Her favorite activities are playing with a flirt pole, fetch, and going for walks which Eve is an excellent loose leash walker! Just because Eve is known to be a higher energy breed, she has a very calm nature to her personality! Eve’s ideal family and home would be: Someone that likes to walk daily. Not gone long hours as Eve would like to be a big part of your day! Take her on car rides as Eve loves going on adventures. Someone who doesn’t mind dogs on furniture. Allow Eve to give smooches too! Story
This is truly a cool little dude! Cooper is 5 years old & would do best in a home with a dog his age or as a single dog for someone that is very active and has lots of time to take him for adventures. Good with small kids! Needs to have a fenced in yard for lots of off leash exercise and preferably a pool or pond as he loves the water. I have not had cooper very long and I was hoping he would fit in with my other 2 female cattle dog mixes, one of which is still a puppy. Cooper came from a single dog home and just seems very stressed out with the puppies antics and I don’t want it to become a negative experience for either of them. I can tell his goofy personality is in there but he leans toward the anxious side a bit (very out going in public settings and with new dogs) but I just don’t think their personalities are going to mesh well going forward despite best efforts. Cooper loves his frisbee and has pogo sticks for back legs. I just want to see this guy thrive in the right setting.
