Story
Stripes is a 1 y/o (dob 8/20/22) neutered male dog. He is medium in size weighing around 35-40#. Stripes brindle color and body shape lead is to believe he is a Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, chipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity. Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids. He loves other dogs and plays well with others. Stripes knows to do his business outside and keeps the house and his kennel clean. He can be shy at first but warms up quickly. He does well with other dogs and they help him build his confidence. Stripes loves his human and likes to be close to them when he isn’t playing with other dogs. He does put himself in his kennel while his foster mom gets her work done. Stripes may take a while to warm up but once he's comfortable he's very loving. He is very loyal to his main human. He feels comfort in his crate and enjoys furry toys. Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles. Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car and not in a crate. This sweet boy is looking for a caring home that will help him continue to build his confidence. He is being taken care of in TN but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
This story is from Kevins rescuer, the police officer. We got a call about a puppy being tied on a vacant properties porch and possibly someone trespassing on the property. Once I arrived on the property, no one could be located, but the puppy was tied to a porch railing and left with no food or water. I contacted John with Baker Bridge Rescue who agreed to help me, of which I was very grateful. I then secured the pup shortly after. A couple folks floating on the river were very relieved to see the dog being taken care of!. Since getting Kevin home with us, he has gained weight and found that people can be good. He is learning potty training and playing with the other dogs. He loves playing with toys. If you are interested in learning more about Kevin (puppy), please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application. Once we review it, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

Story
Poe is an amazing dog and is smart and friendly. He weighs 65lbs. He loves to cuddle and play. He is high-energy and would do well with a family with kids who love to throw the ball or chase him around or someone who likes to get up in the morning and go for a walk or run. He picks up tricks very easily and he is trained on ringing the bell at the door to go outside. We have 3 kids between 7 and 13 who are not as enthusiastic about dogs as my husband and I, and we both work so Poe is often left in the cage during the day and not able to get the exercise and play he needs. I wish I had the time to spend with him, but he outpaces my lab mix and we don't have the extra time to spend with him, which is unfair to him. I would love to see him with someone who matched his energy level and enjoyed the outdoors. He would make an amazing best friend and companion.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ellie, our newest and one of the sweetest little dogs at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Ellie is just one year old, she weighs about 35 pounds, and she loves receiving attention from people. Ellie is food motivated and appears to be very smart, she is housebroken, and she very much enjoys going outside to run zoomies and release some energy. Once she’s tired out, Ellie wants to cuddle and spend quiet time with her people. Ellie came to us with a Demodex infection on her head, but she has been treated and is healing nicely. She had her initial vaccinations, and she will have a heart worm test and physical exam at the end of this week. Ellie is being spayed on December 12th and she will be ready for her forever home within a week or so afterwards. Ellie has lived in a home with cats and apparently didn’t have any issues and she is good with other dogs as well. If you would like to meet Ellie, please submit an adoption application under her name at www.happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
I got this dog about three years ago. He is a great young blue heeler named cash. I have had no issues with him. He loves to take long bike rides, walks, runs and hikes. He is very active and needs an active owner or someone with a lot of land. He is ok with older children but I do not know how he will be with younger children. I would love to keep him but I need to move to Arkansas for a new job and I can’t take him with me.
