Story
Mia is a sweet girl that just wants to be loved. She was inherited and I simply do not have the time to ensure she is getting her needs met. She has severe separation anxiety and pretty strong food aggression when other animals are present. She loves attention and will gladly sit in your lap, on you, or be happily carried around. She is a big baby. She is extremely territorial. She is a herding breed and will try to be lead dog if other dogs are around which can lead to fights. She does not like children or cats and can be aggressive towards both. She has an aversion to kennels and will not tolerate dog beds. She is housebroken but can get a little excited. She loves walks and just being around adults. I feel with the right owner, she could be an amazing companion.

Story
Foster location: Eagle, Michigan Meet Axel! Axel is a super handsome 1.5 year old Cattle Dog mix that is looking for his forever home. He is a very social boy who loves playing with his foster siblings and running with them in the yard, going for walks and meeting new people and then cuddling up on the couch at night with his foster mom. Axel has been attending doggy daycare and loves it! Axel is house and crate trained and walks good on a leash. He is great about chewing on his toys and bones and not getting into things he shouldn’t. Axel would enjoy an active home with another young dog to play with, he has really bonded with his foster siblings and enjoys running and playing with them. Kids make Axel nervous so he is looking for a home without children. Axel is a very sweet and smart boy and catches onto new things quickly, he is young and ready to learn! In order to set him up for success we would recommend his family enroll him in a positive reinforcement training class upon adoption. Axel’s adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, dewormed, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Please follow the instructions to apply for Axel found in the auto-reply you will receive or email adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application. Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.

Story
Hi! I’m a 4-month-old bundle of zoomies, wiggles, and puppy kisses I love chasing toys, learning new tricks (especially if treats are involved), and making everyone laugh with my silly antics. I’m still growing into my paws, but I’ve already mastered being adorable and full of love. If you’re looking for a happy, energetic best friend who’s ready to explore the world with you, I’m your pup!We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. December 14, 2025, 10:28 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi my name is Boomer.  I am almost 2 years old. I am a Cattle Dog (AKA) Blue Heeler. I may be a little mixed, but not sure. I was surrendered by my owner for a better life. I weigh about 56 lbs. I love people and am friendly with other dogs and like to play with them and sometimes don't know when to stop. Older kids would be best. I am house broke and crate trained. I do need more training. I can sit, go down, usually come when called, working on drop it, when I bring the ball back. I like to play fetch, go on car rides, go swimming, hike in the woods and run around. I really just like to be around people and get attention. Boomer will be visiting the vet for a health check and needed vaccines.  He will be neutered and microchipped before going to adoption.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 10, 2025, 4:31 pm

Story
Meet Roxanne! This sweet cattle dog mix is such a cuddle bug! At just four months old, she is already keeping her indoor area clean and goes outside to potty. Roxanne does well with other dogs and cats and loves attention. At this time, she is not a fan of being crated but does well outside of her crate. Roxanne’s current foster says she is absolutely precious and she could just hold her all day long. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
