Remy came from a litter of 10.  The owner was unable to find homes for all, so Remy and his sister were surrendered to us.  Initially he had a little trouble separating from his sibling, but has adjusted well and enjoys the other dogs in foster.  With his long legs, he is expected to be a tall boy when full grown! Sophie came to us with her brother, from a litter of 10!  She was born 3/27/24.  Owner was unable to find homes for these pups and surrendered them.  Sophie has long legs, so will probably be on the tall side.  She has a wonderful personality and sleeps in her crate like a champ.   She enjoy snuggling...like real close into your neck and also likes to be cuddled with another dog. Story
Hello, I'm Xena! I was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of my own, my owner was moving and couldn't take me with them. Because I'm a cattle dog I do have some of the breeds typical characteristics...including the attitude. A family that has experience with my breed would be fantastic! Ideally I need someone that will work on my behaviors with me and make me realize I shouldn't be so bossy. I'm a pretty shy girl at first but give me some time to warm up and I'll be your best friend. I'll need to meet you a few times until I feel comfortable. I love treats and tennis balls! I'd prefer an adult only home or one with older kids that can give me some space while I settle into my new home. Once I bond with you, I may have some separation anxiety if I'm left home alone. My friends here can explain more about how to manage that with me when you come to meet me :). I lived with a cat previously and I adored them. If I may seem like the girl for you, reach out to my friends here to come meet me! The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, PA Kennel License #02941, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
Meet Miss Callie! This girl is as sweet as they come! Her story did not start out so good though. A good samaritan found her and her 4 puppies in a sewerage drain in a rural town in Tx on the Mexico border. She was very fearful of humans and with good reason. The kids and adults in the area treated this family horribly while they were on the streets. One thing we do know for a fact was that she was shot by someone. In order to get this family to safety, Callie had to be shot with a tranquilizer gun because she was so fearful. Thank God those days are behind her now!! She has absolutely blossomed with her current foster. Callie is a little standoffish with strangers, so she will just need a family that is patient and will allow her a couple days to open up. She loves to play with other dogs and is a great cuddler! She has done well with children, cats are unknown but she is pretty laid back. Story
Meet Tucker!! This adorable little guy was found as a stray back in Jan in a rural part of Tx. We had him placed with a foster until we could complete his vetting & to social him with other people and animals. Mr Tucker made his way to NJ Mar 8th and it was a few days later that we noticed he was limping. We had him seen by our vet when it was discovered that he had a broken leg. He was than taken to an orthopedic on 03/19 and his surgery was scheduled for the following week. Tucker has completely healed and has been cleared by the orthopedic for adoption! Tucker is now 8 1/2 mos old, he is fully vetted (vacs/neutered/chip). Tucker is great with other dogs, totally fine with cats, and good with kids. He is a mix of 4 breeds and given that 2 of those are herding breeds, a home with kids 8 yrs and older would be best. If you would like to make this sweet boy a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS STRONGLY PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED** ** BREED MIX DNA CONFIRMED** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED.
