Story
Look at this beauty - she's been waiting a long timeWe believe the reason she's not gained any attention is because at first she was considered a flight risk but not more - she's so much more comfortable in her foster home she's not going anywhere until her new forever home is found. She's also doing great with her leash walking which was a roadblock before - again, foster family prevails and she's got it down!!She is a beautiful girl, loves toys, treats, and playing with her housemate mix of fosters and residents. This beautiful and intelligent cattle dog mix is ready to find her forever family.Noelle is crate trained, going in willingly and settling down quickly. She is also housetrained. Noelle can now be trusted uncrated at home when alone for short periods of time. Noelle would do best in a house with a confident dog sibling as she loves them. Cats - sure thing Dogs - even more so - she loves them.Sweet Noelle was a stray who was running around in the very frigid weather of December 2022, very, very pregnant. A southern foster home was secured for her, but Noelle chewed through her leash and ran as she was being dropped off there. For almost a week, rescuers frantically searched for her and her impending litter. She was finally found under a local house, where she had already given birth to 11 puppies!!! This time, she was brought safely to her foster home along with her family. Story
This gorgeous lady was found as a stray in a very rural area of Tennessee. The details of her past are unknown. Rosie's story began the day she was rescued. While in foster care, Rosie lived with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Rosie is not a big player but enjoys a good tug-of-war. Sometimes, Rosie becomes startled when resident dogs get rowdy. When that happens, she reacts appropriately with a grumble. Rosie has been introduced to cats and did well with laid-back cats that ignored her. More reactive cats experienced a game of chase. Overall, Rosie was very tolerant even when the cat hissed at her. Rosie is adaptable, well-mannered, and intelligent. She kennels on command and will bark if she is ready to get out. If left out, she is a great house guest, potty trained (with a doggie door), and does not get into anything. She rarely gets on the furniture and sleeps on the floor beside the bed. Rosie minds well on a leash, keeps tension at first, and will loosen when asked. Her hereditary breed traits kick in when Rosie gets excited, so watch your ankles! She can be mouthy and a bit rough when her humans play with her, but it is truly all fun and games. Rosie's ideal adopter includes an active caretaker who enjoys an active outside healthy lifestyle within the herding breed experience. If you find cattle-dog traits redeeming values, this is your dream dog!Name: Row Row RosieBreed: Cattle Dog MixSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 43lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Completed treatment Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes, only if dog-savvy and non-reactive to dogs presenceAdoption Fee: $400.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Little munchkins found behind a trash can by a vet tech in her front yard -  I'd say they were pretty lucky after an initial terrible start.  No one knows how they landed there and mama was nowhere to be found. They were whisked into the clinic and checked out -  thankfully they were found to be in good shape.  First vaccines are now on board and once they get their second, they can travel to New England.Typical puppies - having a blast playing and getting into trouble - fosters are working on housetraining and crate training but we make no promises!!They are getting socialization with the other dogs in the home and family members are having fun playing with them too.Fletcher's foster mom says; "Fletcher is a sweet boy". "He's very curious about everything but he's cautious". " He needs extra snackies to explore since that is what fuels his adventure feet"!!!Fletcher would do best in a home with another dog.Name: FletcherBreed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 11 weeks as of 5/8Weight:  Average weight as of 5/2 is 12 lbs.Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforcedVaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are responsibility of adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  New Engalnd  Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England.   We can provide a list of low costs SN clinics to adopters when requested. Adoption fee also includes transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You will be required to attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy so if you experience behavior issues you have a point of contact.  PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy's life, do you have the time??Please consider purchasing this book before adopting.  Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Puppy-Days-Start-Right/dp/0964151871IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
