Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Skittles! Skittles is approximately 8 months old, 42 lb currently, and she may have some heeler in her mix. She was found as a stray and taken in by a Good Samaritan. In her foster home, she is doing excellent with her house training, crate training, but needs some work on her leash walking skills. She could join homes with other playful dogs and/or kids over the age of 10. She is high energy and needs an active family! No apartments, please! Her foster says, `This sweet girl is a lover. She`s a happy dog. Lives to run. Will play catch but is stubborn about bringing it back. She lives to play, loves her treats and loves to be cuddled. She still needs some work for the sit and lay down commands but she`s getting better every day. She eats breakfast around 9 am and dinner around 5:30. I mix her wet into her dry food. She will make a terrific addition to a home with either 1 or 2 adults and/or with children over 10yo, only because she could knock a toddler over pretty easy. She is strong and pulls on her leash. Needs some work there. She loves ice cubes on a hot day or after playing. I haven`t introduced doggy cones yet but I`m positive she`ll loves those for a treat on a hot Alabama day. All in all...Skittles would love to have you as a forever family. `She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on July 17th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com.

Bentley **Currently Available for Adoption!** Good with Kids and Dogs! Meet Bentley! 5 mos./14 lb./Female/Heeler Mix Name: Bentley Age: 5 Months Weight: 14 lbs Breed: Heeler Mix Status: Classy little adventurer searching for her forever family About Me Hi, I’m Bentley! I’m a bright, playful Heeler mix with a curious mind, a fun-loving spirit, and plenty of puppy charm packed into my 14-pound frame. I’m ready to explore the world with a family of my own. I’m looking forward to walks, games, training sessions, new adventures, and curling up beside my favorite people after a busy day. As a smart and active girl, I’ll thrive with a family who will keep both my mind and body engaged. I’m still learning, so I’ll need patience, consistency, socialization, and continued training as I grow. With the right guidance, I’ll become a loyal and wonderful companion. Best Qualities • Smart, curious, and eager to learn • Playful and ready for adventure • Full of lovable puppy energy • Loyal best friend in the making • Sweet little girl with plenty of personality My Ideal Match An active family prepared for the time and commitment involved in raising a puppy. I’m looking for people who will continue my training, give me positive ways to use my clever Heeler brain, and include me in their everyday lives. Deal Breakers • Not ready for the responsibility of puppyhood • Expecting perfect manners without continued training • Planning to leave this little adventurer out of the fun Fun Fact I may be named Bentley, but my favorite luxury features are treats, toys, and a soft place to nap beside you.
