Story
Meet Rascal!Rascal is a hoot and a holler with a personality as big as his heart. This playful boy loves to have fun, and one of his favorite games is grabbing ponytails while he plays. He is full of silly energy, kisses, cuddles, and love.Rascal can definitely be a wild child, so he would do best in a home with older kids who can handle his playful spirit. He is dog friendly and would likely do okay with cats, as long as they are confident enough to handle his goofy energy. As much as Rascal tries to keep his happy personality shining, shelter life is starting to wear on him. He is becoming very sad and is ready for someone to see how special he is. Rascal needs a family who will love his playful side, give him the cuddles he craves, and finally give him the home he deserves.

Story
2 yr old tricolor M/N Kelpie/GSD mix Looking for a dogs dog?? Gunner is your guy! He was comfortable enough around me, allowed touch, took treats, interacted some with me, but he really really wanted to play with the big dog in the next yard. He wasn't aloof though! Took treats gently, eager to please and loved being called a good boi, it was a fun yard time for both us us He does seem to be feeling the stress from the shelter, some have had some trouble getting him out of his kennel but he was perfectly behaved for me. This is an active breed, he will need consistent physical and mental exercise to be happy, it is likely what is causing his current stress and occasional barrier reactivity. It is worth noting that he was a very loud bork monster when I first approached his kennel but after 3 treats he was ready to follow me anywhere I was going Knows how to sit, walks well on the leash (just a tiny bit of pulling) and seemed potty trained!! ##2528145##

Story
LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION  Estimated DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare!  Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them.  She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night.   Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with.  Is that you? HOPE ID D24-1116-0045 Calliope's $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Calliope will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Luna is a sweet, loving girl with a heart as beautiful as her smile. Her journey began when she was found living outside a Subway restaurant, where she survived on her own for over three weeks. Even during that difficult time, Luna showed nothing but kindness. Children would regularly approach her for pets, and she would happily wag her tail and gently soak up the attention. Since coming into foster care, Luna has been an absolute dream. She is fully house-trained, has never had an accident indoors, and has shown no destructive behaviors. Although she is crate-trained, she quickly proved trustworthy enough to earn free-roam privileges around the house. Luna is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She enjoys sleeping in bed, cuddling up for movie nights, and being part of the family. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblingsa Great Dane and a Chihuahuaand tends to take cues from other dogs, making her an easy addition to a multi-dog household. She has the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Luna loves exploring the outdoors, going on walks, and checking out new places, but shes just as happy lounging on the couch and enjoying a quiet day at home. Luna has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes everyone who meets her fall in love. If youre looking for a loyal companion who is affectionate, well-mannered, dog-friendly, and ready to be your best friend, Luna is waiting to meet you. To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Luna's adoption fee of $500 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and harness. There is also a transport fee of $150 - $350 depending on destination if outside of Houston. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Hello, my name is Shade. I'm a sweet little puppy and a mix of Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd. I was born on February 1, 2026. I had one litter mate and play a lot with my mom and two older siblings. My two favorite things to do are play and eat. I'm very curious and love to by held and snuggle. I was born with an umbilical hernia but it does not bother me in my adventures. The human says it would be best to take care of it when i go for my spade procedure (whatever that means, haha) Finding a loving home would be the most awesome thing and i promise love you and bring joy to anyone willing to invest in my future!
