Story
If you would like more information about Chai or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to blrodriguezmadge@gmail.com My boyfriend and I found the sweetest girl roaming around on her own at TC Jester park in Houston. Chai, sadly, seems to have been mistreated as she was scared of most people at the park. We are unable to care for her and are looking to find her a loving home. Since getting closer to us, she has been nothing but cuddly, sweet, friendly, loyal and a smart little puppy. We don’t have any children at home so are unsure of how she is with them. However, we found her at the park going around the playground during a children’s birthday party and saw her being extremely cautious with everyone, including children. This also applies to dogs; she won’t get near any dog unless she feels comfortable or curious enough to play. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, Chai is a true sweetheart and a well-behaved companion. Story
Introducing Lisbeth, a courageous and affectionate puppy who has triumphed over adversity with grace and resilience. Lisbeth's journey began when she fell into the care of an individual who, unfortunately, subjected her to a distressing ordeal. In an attempt to alter Lisbeth's appearance, this individual resorted to a cruel and painful method, tightly binding her tail with rubber bands in a misguided effort to remove it. The consequences were dire, as the rubber bands cut off circulation to Lisbeth's tail, causing her immense suffering. Thankfully, Lisbeth's plight did not go unnoticed. A compassionate Police Officer intervened, rescuing her from further harm and bringing her to BARC, where she received urgent medical attention and we were able to get her to our emergency vet. Despite the pain she endured, Lisbeth's spirit remains unbroken. She is a testament to resilience and the unwavering capacity for love, her gentle nature shining through despite her traumatic past. Now, Lisbeth is seeking a foster or forever home where she can thrive and flourish, surrounded by love, care, and compassion. She may be small in size, only about 35lbs, but her heart is boundless, brimming with affection and loyalty.  Lisbeth is only about 8 months old and loves to play fetch.  She loves playing with other dogs too.  She's a fun-loving pup! With her adorable appearance (and those ears!) and endearing personality, Lisbeth is sure to capture the hearts of all who meet her. She is ready to embark on a new chapter of her life, filled with joy, comfort, and the promise of a brighter future. If you're ready to make a difference in Lisbeth's life and welcome her into your home, please consider fostering or adopting her today. Together, we can ensure that Lisbeth's journey is one filled with love, happiness, and endless tail wags. Contact us right away at  info@scoutshonor.org  if you can open your home and heart to this spunky little girl. April 21, 2024, 9:22 pm

This fun-loving, energetic dog is smart and has a ton of personality. He loves playing with his toys, and will play ball by himself. He enjoys playing chase and will swing by close enough for me to "tag" him. :) He'd enjoy agility training - he's nimble and clever. He's an outdoor dog, but has been crated overnight with no problem. He was in a yard with a couple of other dogs and did fine. He's not dog aggressive. Lots of personality, loves his people. If we didn't already have dogs of our own, we'd love to keep him. Our family and friends are also full-up. I hope to find him a welcoming forever home where he'll be cared for and can bring joy to his family.

Story
We rescued Reese recently from her previous owner who had a baby and wanted to euthanize this perfectly good doggie. Unfortunately, we have cats and take care of stray cats outside so we cannot sustain Reese permanently. However, she is the sweetest and shyest girl! She is house-trained, playful, respectful, and she has all of her vaccines up to date! She is 4-years old and has been around children and babies with supervision. Reese deserves a permanent loving forever home who will take care of her and give her the proper time to adjust to her new life. We are unsure how well she can get along with other dogs or cats since she’s been separated from them, but there’s been no issues previously with any dogs or cats from the distance other than a bark or two. Feel free to also message me at 831-272-8215 (make sure to say it’s about the adoption)

Story
This is Scorpio. This adorable doggie is a very easy going dog.  He loves the outdoors and will be a perfect camping buddy for someone.  He is gets along with other dogs (slow introductions always).  He is crate and leash trained.  He loves his humans.  This boy is ok during car rides too.  He is ready to find his loving home.  Are you his human? Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received. www.springbrachrescue.org ##1711245##

Story
Indigo is a 2 month old, 10 lbs, Australian Kelpie/Husky mix puppy. She was found on the side of the road covered in mange almost getting hit by cars until someone rescued her. Indigo is a feisty little girl who is good with other dogs, kids, and is young enough to go to a home with cats. She loves to play with toys and is in her teething phase, so shoes, cords, etc. need to be put of her reach. We are currently working on potty training, but she doesn’t have it down yet. Indigo sleeps all night in her crate, and lets you know when she needs to go out in the morning. She is available for foster to adopt in the Houston area. Apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

Story
Dot is a very affectionate girl but is very nervous when meeting for the first time, she tends to be vocal but has not been aggressive. She is better with women than men. She is higher energy and would make a great running buddy. She also loves to play ball or with other dogs but may need a patient friend since she still has a lot of puppy in her and can play a little rough. She has not been around small dogs or cats. We believe Dot is either a kelpie or Belgian malinois mix. She is extremely smart and willing to learn.  Email us with any questions you may have RockABullyAF@hotmail.com or visit RockABullyAF.org to apply. Dot is heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her perfect forever family! She is not currently available for out of state adoption.  ##1395576##

Story
Annie's a total sweetheart who's all about cuddles and playtime! She's got tons of personality and gets along great with other dogs. She has never met a cat that we know of. Annie is amazing with kids! She does have a tendency to jump up eagerly for kisses so she may do better in a home with kids over about 7 years old. Of course, with training, she can learn not to jump up. Annie is very treat and food motivated. She almost has “sit” mastered and is almost perfect with her potty training. We believe she is an Australian Kelpie mixed with rat terrier. She’s estimated to be about 40 pounds fully grown. Annie is currently 17 pounds and 5 months old. She is spayed and vaccinated. If you are looking for a combo of sweet, sassy, and a whole lot of love - Annie is your girl! Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Since they are rescue dogs we guess breed of looks. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. Meet Sadie, the sweet and resilient pup! According to her rescuer, Sadie has mastered perfect behavior in the home, though it took a bit of time as she can be skittish around new people. Once she feels comfortable, however, she warms up quickly and loves nothing more than playing fetch and basking in love and attention. Can you offer Sadie the loving and secure home she truly deserves?Est. DOB: 11/4/2167 lbs and needs to lose a few.AAR does not transport for adoption.

Story
Rio DOB 9/7/23 is an American Hybrid (aka unknown mixed breed). Currently 40 pounds, estimate based on calculator to be 60-65 pounds full grown. I adopted her in December 2023 and she has beginner training using Susan Garrett's Homeschool the Dog. She's learning to walk nicely on leash using a Gentle Leader head harness as well as a regular body harness and collar (not all at the same time.) She's house-trained but still has occasional excitement accidents. Crate-trained & beginner-trained to sit quietly on her raised bed and a mat. We are learning to remain calm during grooming. Rio is on the submissive/fearful side and quite laid back (for a puppy). The former rescue stated she's part Australian Kelpie, but I have not confirmed via DNA testing. Don't let the blue eye fool you-she doesn't appear to have husky temperament. Hubby unexpectedly got a new job that requires extensive travel. We can't take her with us. Free to loving home, she's sweet and a blank slate.

These pups are in Houston, Texas too!
