Story
Kylie needs a new home because she is not getting along with the other dog in her home. Her family is very sad to have to rehome her. Here is what they say about this beautiful dog: 'Kylie is an absolutely wonderful dog! She is very loving and attached to all her people. She is not always a fan of service people that come to the house, but any others, if we like them, she likes them. She loves to play ball and will catch it in the air and bring it to you. Kylie is good on walks but sometimes pulls when she heads home. I just stop and make her wait. She loves squeaky toys and Kongs. She is very treat motivated and takes treats extremely well, with just her lips, and will wait for anything if you tell her to 'wait'. She likes to cuddle next to us on the sofa, too. We feed her in her crate and she will go straight to it if you tell her to. She has passed all the obedience training at Petco and passed their Canine Good Citizen Test.' Thank you for your interest in Kylie! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18246 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Kylie, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Sugar was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in Johnson City, Tennessee because her owner was having financial issues and could no longer care for her. After being rescued by K-9 Lifesavers, Sugar is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Sugar has a playful nature and infectious energy. Her friendly disposition makes her a perfect companion for other dogs. She's always up for a game of fetch or a fun playdate with her canine friends. But it's not just her playful side that stands out. Sugar's sweet and loving nature make her an ideal candidate for just about any home. She's always ready to give love and seeks the same in return. At Sugar's young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization too. Adopting Sugar would mean endless love, companionship and a whole lot of cuteness. Story
Pepper is a 2 year old, 39 lb female that is one of the best adult dogs we’ve had in our rescue. She was picked up by animal control in the south Texas area with her puppies. No rescuers wanted all black puppies and a medium sized momma dog. The shelter was about to euthanize her when we stepped up for all of them. The foster listed all of this for Pepper: - Walks amazing on a leash - Sits on command - Very smart, easily trainable - House broken - Very friendly to everyone she meets - Loves other dogs - Super Sweet - Quiet in a crate through the night - Rides great in a car - Not a chewer or destructive, very relaxed inside and when left alone - Loves treats - Very Gentle - Does not jump - Very attention motivated - Aims to please her people - Couch dog, very chill - Would be great for children - Perfect girl Pepper is fully vetted – Spayed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormer, microchipped and will receive a certificate of health from a vet giving her a clean bill of health prior to receiving her. To apply to adopt Pepper you can fill out an application at: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Jasper, was rescued from the streets, came to us 2.5 years ago after being rehomed due to family circumstances. He had prior training, which we've continued, and he's a very good boy. Jasper's ideal day involves relaxing on the couch while you're away, a joyful reunion when you return, and then some spirited squirrel chasing in the backyard. He's athletic and needs a fenced yard to run and play. After his bursts of energy, he's a champion cuddler, curling up next to you for some quiet time. Due to his past, Jasper has some behavioral tendencies. He's very protective of his home and owner. Therefore, we're seeking a specific type of home for him: No other pets or children. Experienced dog owner: Someone familiar with and able to maintain his e-collar training. Fenced yard: Essential for him to safely roam and exercise. We love Jasper and want the very best for him. It's been a difficult decision, but we believe this is the right step to ensure his happiness and well being.

Story
Hello there, I'm Lola. I've got an energy that's infectious and a loyalty that's unwavering. My smarts? Well, they're off the charts! I'm a herding dog, you see. I love tasks and challenges, they keep me on my toes but I also enjoy sitting on a couch and watching the world go by. Young kids, though? They're a bit too much for me. I prefer a calm, adult environment where I can focus on my duties. I am a beautiful miniature Australian Shepherd and at 32 lbs, I'm the perfect size for all of life's adventures. Give me a butt rub and I'll shoot you my best smile while gazing into your eyes. Adopt me and I promise to be your most faithful companion, your diligent protector, and your best friend!

Energy wise, he would do best in home that has space outdoors (and indoors) to play and would be happy with a 20-30 minute daily walk.
