Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome our baby boy, and it breaks our hearts. He’s a loving, sweet dog, but due to circumstances with our move, we can’t take him with us. We’re hoping to find someone who can give him the happy, stable home he deserves. He’s been around kids and absolutely adores them. He loves to cuddle. He needs to be an only pet, as he’s reactive to both cats and dogs. He is best suited as the only animal in the home. His biggest reactivity trigger is cars—he gets upset even from a distance. He listens well to commands but can be stubborn, so he’ll need someone patient who’s willing to continue his training. He’s crate trained, though he gets very excited when he knows he’s coming out. He’s highly food motivated. We will provide all his supplies and we’re happy to share anything else you want to know. We love him deeply so we’d like to meet you and do a small “trial run” to make sure he’s a good fit for your home and that your family is a good fit for him.

Story
We acquired Sylvia from the local dog shelter. Sylvia is 4 years old. Sylvia loves being outdoors. I believe she would be a great herding dog and perfect on a farm as I believe she requires to be worked daily. Sylvia would be great in a one or 2 person home. Sylvia is very obedient and listens very well. Sylvia gets protective over food. Best to feed in quiet space alone. We do not think she would be good in a home with children. She needs the attention.

These pups are in Alexandria, Virginia too!

Story
I got her 5ish years ago from Lancaster puppies in Pennsylvania. She is a great dog and is very loving and funny. She loves to play with balloons and she loves to watch tv. She is great with any age kids or babies. She has never met a cat so if you have a cat I’m not sure how she will be but she is great with other dogs. She never bit anyone or any animal. She has a big personality. She loves to run and play. We have a 1 year old and I’m pregnant, my husband works 6 days a week almost all day and it’s very hard to make sure she gets the play time she deserves. I love her but she deserves someone who can take her on long walks and play with her and cuddle her. I want her to enjoy the rest of her long life with someone who has the energy. We also live in an apartment and it’s just a bit cramped with our family and the dog. She did nothing wrong I just want the best for her and right now I can’t give that to her. She has nicknames lol ( Lou leena, Lou Lou, klo Lena) she is a beautiful dog

Story
Leo is a one year old, 55 pound mixed breed sweetheart with long legs, a soft heart, and a curious mind. He has a calm presence inside the house and a fun burst of energy when he heads outside. He is on his way to being a wonderful family dog. He just enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving day with kids and new people and new dogs and let his good manners shine. Energy and Personality Leo sits around a medium energy level. He loves to run and play in a fenced yard. He enjoys exploring and stretching his long stride. Inside the home he relaxes and settles. He is kind and sensitive. He is curious and fun. He is tall and lanky. He sometimes forgets his size which only adds to his charm. Training and Behavior He is crate trained and house trained. He walks well on a leash. He knows basic commands. He is easy to guide because he responds to gentle correction. He still has a puppy side and loves plenty of chew toys. Social Life Leo loves meeting new people. He has done great with older kids, other dogs, chickens, wildlife, and strangers. He has not met young children in his foster home but his friendly nature suggests he would enjoy them with supervision. He is currently the only dog in the home and is doing well. He is a very quiet dog. Quirks and Special Traits He is tall and graceful until he gets excited. Then he becomes a charming clumsy goof. He likes to follow his people and stay close. He enjoys praise and learns fast because he wants to make you proud. Best Home Fit He suits a home that enjoys both outdoor play and indoor calm. A fenced yard is ideal because he loves to run. A family that likes to guide a young dog will love him. He is a strong match for someone who wants a loyal partner with a gentle soul. Veterinary Care He has a health certificate. He is up to date on vaccinations for his age. He is neutered. He is microchipped. He is on heartworm prevention. He is on flea and tick prevention. He has been treated for worms and parasites. If you want a sweet partner who brings joy, peace, and a little clumsy fun, Leo is your guy.
