She’s potty trained, doesn’t need a crate, and has her routine down like a pro.   But her real specialty? Being a full-time Velcro dog! Amethyst believes life is simply better when she’s right by your side (or preferably in your lap). Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving around the house, she’ll be your loyal little shadow, soaking up all the love and giving it right back.   If you’re looking for a constant companion who thinks you’re the center of the universe… Amethyst is your girl.   Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Story
Alexandrite is such a stunning beautiful little lady that has everyone stop in their tracks and say, "Awwwww!".  She is full of puppy energy while playing with her brother and her resident foster big brother (20 lb dachsund mix), but by herself she is extremely shy and at times fearful of all the new sounds and spaces.  When she is feeling overwhelmed, she'll chill under the couch and poke her cute face out or curl up next to you on the couch. Being by people or other puppies makes her feel so much more comfortable!  She loves to play with toys, balls, rope tug and wrestle with the boys. Potty training is going well, but she usually needs a leash on when going out since she might get scared and run back to the door to go inside.  With gentle coaching she does great and can get her business done and then move onto playing.  She is a favorite with the kids who are always wanting to make her feel safe and loved. She's learning the ropes from the other dogs and might benefit from a home with another friendly dog in it so she can learn the world is not so scary.  Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present  Say hello to Agate. I’m so in love with her. She is an 10 week old kelpie mix! If anyone is in search of the most affectionate, absolutely stunningly beautiful puppy, search no further. She’s the one! With a soft gray and white speckled coat, and deep ocean blue eyes, she’s irresistible. This sweet pup, is crate trained, sleeps and naps in her crate. As long as you are diligent and able to take her out, she will use the yard. She currently loves a great walk to the park, and stays right by your side. She wants to listen and please you, she'll even do tricks for freeze dried chicken and peanut butter treats. Aventurine is a spunky puppy with tons of cuteness!  He is ready to take on the world.  He plays great with his sister pup and the resident big brother, a 3 year old 20 pound dog.  Catching on to potty training very quickly!  When he goes outside he knows it's time for business and then he'll do some exploring and play afterwards.  If we miss the cue that he needs to go out, he'll find the nearest puppy pad with pretty good accuracy. He is sleeping from 10:30pm-6:30am in the crate with only 5 mins of settling down time.  Enjoys every type of toy--ball, rope, stuffed animal and hasn't met a person he hasn't liked!  Super soft cuddler who does well with kids of all ages.  He would make a wonderful addition to any family with or without dogs.  Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Story
Azurite is a snuggly, sweet dream of a puppy. He and his littermate, Amber, love to play with each other, romp in the backyard, bask in the sun, and take long leisurely naps. For a puppy, he seems pretty chill. When he's not romping, he's relaxing and chewing on a toy or taking a long nap on his bed. He loves nothing more than to be held while he snoozes, or at minimum, to snuggle up as close to you as he can get. Azurite is doing well with potty training. When we let him out of his crate, he knows to immediately go outside to do his business and he's had very few accidents in the house. He's already great on the leash, sleeps in the crate all night overnight, and takes correction well when he starts to chew on anything he's not supposed to. He hasn't quite figured out that our resident cat doesn't want to be his friend, but we're getting there. He's very sweet and curious about other dogs we encounter on our walks. He's pretty well socialized, too - in addition to going to a track meet where he made a hundred new friends, Azurite has been around kids from 18 months to 18 years and loves them all. And the feeling is mutual!  Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt.
