Story
We acquired Sylvia from the local dog shelter. Sylvia is 4 years old. Sylvia loves being outdoors. I believe she would be a great herding dog and perfect on a farm as I believe she requires to be worked daily. Sylvia would be great in a one or 2 person home. Sylvia is very obedient and listens very well. Sylvia gets protective over food. Best to feed in quiet space alone. We do not think she would be good in a home with children. She needs the attention.

Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome our baby boy, and it breaks our hearts. He’s a loving, sweet dog, but due to circumstances with our move, we can’t take him with us. We’re hoping to find someone who can give him the happy, stable home he deserves. He’s been around kids and absolutely adores them. He loves to cuddle. He needs to be an only pet, as he’s reactive to both cats and dogs. He is best suited as the only animal in the home. He listens well to commands and is a quick learner. He’s crate trained and highly food motivated. We will provide all his supplies and we’re happy to share anything else you want to know.

These pups are in Fairfax, Virginia too!

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Snuggles fetch and food!  What do these things have in common?  Ranger!  These just happen to be his most favorite things!  If you too love puppy snuggles then he’s the guy for you.   After a seemingly never ending game of fetch, Ranger will happily settle down and chill with a chew bone or even better a nap snuggled up next to his favorite person.   Food is up next on his list of faves, which makes him an ideal candidate for training! He loves to learn and picks up new skills so quickly.  All he needs is a new family to continue his education. It’s hard to believe this adorable guy was taken to a shelter in SW VA after being hit by a car and no one claimed him.  After being cleared by a vet he was able to be transferred to Mutts for a chance at a better life!  It’s taken some time for us to really get to know him but after spending quality time in not one, but two foster homes (he’s so popular two foster families are sharing his time!), we’ve discovered what an amazing boy Ranger is! To note, Ranger can be uncomfortable and reactive to some dogs while on leash.  We feel with the right fear free training, time and patience, this can be managed and improved.  Ranger has had some good play sessions with female dogs and was able to coexist in a foster home with calm, female dogs.  At this time it is best for Ranger to live in a single family home with a fenced yard where his interactions around other dogs can be managed.  He is able to go for walks with a plan and lots of treats for distractions.  Trust us when we say this love bug will be worth all the extra effort! Ranger is 40lbs and 2 yrs old.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Bandar is a confident little explorer with a playful spirit and a gentle heart. He loves discovering new things but always knows his boundaries.
