Story
Hi there, I'm Ruby—and I'm ready to love you forever. I’m about 2 years old, a mixed breed girl with a heart full of snuggles and a nose that’s always ready for kisses. Life hasn’t always been easy—I was found wandering the streets with my brother Rusty, scared and unsure of the world. But then we landed at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and wow… they gave us love, safety, and belly rubs. Total game-changer. I’ve had a couple of homes since then. The first one was lovely, but there was a little dog there who just didn’t vibe with me. Same thing happened in the second home. So now I’m back at the rescue, hoping third time’s the charm. This time, I’m asking for a home with no little dogs, please. I get along great with people and big dogs—I just need a space where I can be my best self. &#226&#156&#168 Here’s what I bring to the table: I’m spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my shots I walk like a pro on leash and I’m house trained I’m super smart and love learning new things I’m obsessed with squeaky toys, tasty treats, and cozy dog beds I’ve got a gorgeous reddish coat, white-tipped toes, a sweet red nose, and eyes that’ll melt your heart. I weigh around 40–50 pounds and while no one knows exactly what breeds are in my mix, I’ve heard whispers of Australian shepherd and red nose Staffordshire terrier. Honestly? I’m just Ruby. One of a kind. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and slightly goofy best friend, I’m your girl. I promise to make you laugh, keep you company, and love you with everything I’ve got. Come meet me at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Just email mike@caaronline.org to set up a visit. I’ll be waiting—with tail wags and hopeful eyes. Story
Hi, I'm Bella—and I'm Ready to Love Again Hi there. My name is Bella, and I’m looking for something really special: a forever home. Not just a place to sleep, but a place where I can finally feel safe, loved, and wanted. I’m only 2 years old, an Australian Shepherd mix with a heart full of hope and a tail that’s learning to wag again. I didn’t always know what kindness felt like. Not long ago, I was moments away from being left at a crowded pound. I overheard the word “euthanasia,” and even though I didn’t understand everything, I knew something was very wrong. I was scared—so scared. But then, like a miracle, someone stepped in and said, “Wait. Let me help.” That person saved my life and brought me to Central Arizona Animal Rescue. When I first arrived, I was terrified. I didn’t know if I could trust anyone. I didn’t know if I was safe. I was underweight, my fur was matted, and my spirit was shaken. But the kind humans here gave me time. They didn’t rush me. They let me heal. And slowly, I began to believe again. It took me three whole weeks to relax enough to show my real self. Now? I’m playful, curious, and learning every day. I share my kennel with a sweet boy dog, and we get along great. I’m not sure how I feel about cats yet—I haven’t met any—but I’m open to learning. I do have a habit of jumping up when I get excited (I just want to be close to you!), but I’m working on it. I listen when I’m corrected, and I’m trying so hard to be my best self. I might be a little too bouncy for tiny humans, but older kids and grown-ups? I’d love to be your shadow. I’ve been spayed, and I’ll be up-to-date on all my vaccinations before I go home. I want to be healthy and ready for all the adventures we’ll have together—walks, cuddles, maybe even hikes if you’re into that. I’m still gaining weight and confidence, but I promise you this: I have so much love to give. I don’t know what my past held, but I know what I want for my future. I want a family who sees me not as a project, but as a partner. Someone who understands that I’ve been through a lot, but I’m still standing. Still hoping. Still wagging. If you think you might be the one I’ve been waiting for, please reach out. You can email my friends at the rescue atmike@caaronline.org to set up a time to meet me. I’ll be here, dreaming of the day I get to go home—for good. With love and hope, Bella   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hi there, future best friend! My name is Oli, and I’m a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a tail that wiggles like crazy when I’m happy (which is pretty much all the time!). I weigh about 20–25 pounds, so I’m the perfect size for snuggles, adventures, and everything in between. Let me tell you a little about my journey. I was at the Humane Society in Yuma for over a month, waiting patiently for my person to come back for me. I didn’t understand why they never did, but I kept hoping. Then one day, the kind folks at Central Arizona Animal Rescue came and gave me a second chance. Now I’m here, safe and loved, but I know my forever home is still out there—and I can’t wait to find it! I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations, and I’ve even been microchipped, so I’m ready to go whenever you are! I share my kennel with a sweet female dog, and we have the best time playing together. We chase toys, wrestle gently, and nap side by side. I think I’d do great in a home with another friendly dog, especially if they like to play as much as I do! People? Oh wow, I LOVE people! Every time someone walks by, my little stubby tail goes a million miles an hour. I just want to be near you, get pets, and maybe sneak in a kiss or two if you’ll let me. I’m a happy, affectionate guy who thrives on attention and kindness. I don’t have any background info, so I’m not sure how I feel about cats or little kids, but I’m a gentle soul. If kids give me a little time to warm up and don’t rush me, I think we could be great pals. I dream about my forever home every night. I imagine a cozy bed, tasty treats, walks in the sunshine, and someone who looks at me and says, “You’re home now, Oli.” I promise to be loyal, loving, and always excited to see you. Whether we’re hiking trails, playing in the yard, or just watching TV together, I’ll be your shadow and your biggest fan. I know life hasn’t always been easy, but I haven’t let that dim my spirit. I’m still hopeful, still joyful, and still wagging my tail for the future. I believe there’s someone out there who’s looking for a dog just like me—someone who wants a companion, a buddy, a furry family member. Could that be you? If you think we might be a perfect match, I’d love to meet you! Just send an email to mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I’ll be waiting with my tail wagging and my heart open. Love and wiggles, Oli   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt.
