Story
Daisy came to us from the Yuma Humane Society and was recently returned through no fault of her own. Despite the changes she’s been through, she remains one truly awesome girl. She’s thriving in her foster home, where she’s done great with a smaller dog. Daisy is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys twice-daily strolls with her foster mom. She’s currently on a diet and making progress toward a healthier weight—with plenty of encouragement and love along the way.At 10 years young and about 82 pounds, Daisy would love a forever home that can help her shed a few more pounds and enjoy her golden years in comfort. She’s a wonderful, gentle soul looking for a soft place to land. Could that be with youTo get started in the process of meeting Daisy, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come on in to the Adoption Center to meet with an adoption counselor. You are welcome to submit an inquiry for more information about this dog, but please note that we strongly encourage potential adopters to come and see us in person and speak with an adoption counselor. We do ask for 24 hours time to respond to an inquiry (48 hours on weekends) and often a dog is adopted before you get a response back. If this dog was not good with other dogs, cats or has a restriction with kids, we will note them in the bio. Because each animal is different, we do always require introductions with resident dogs, dogs that visit frequently, and all family members. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert. Hours: Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. You can also call during our open hours to inquire if an animal has been adopted yet (480-497-8296). Thank you!All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Molly is around 7 years old. She has been a very sweet family dog for the past couple years in our home. We got her from a rescue 6 years ago. She does have separation anxiety when you leave the house and should not be left in the house without access to outside, or else she will cause damage to your home. But if she has easy access to outside through a dog door she is usually content. She has been kept with other pets including a dog and multiple cats. She does fine with them but is extremely territorial when it comes to food and has caused many fights with our other dog because of this. That is why she is looking for a new home. An ideal home for her would be one without other animals. And a home with someone who is home 90% of the time. She loves to go outside so a backyard is something she would prefer. She does not like delivery people at all and is aggressive towards them. She likes indoor cats but attacks stray cats. Same with stray dogs. She is just very protective of her home.

Story
Chuck is 7 years old and used to be a service dog. Unfortunately he was attacked by another dog and no longer can perform as a service dog. He is a little iffy with dogs his size or bigger (he’s 70lbs) but is super sweet with smaller dogs, cats, and kids. I unfortunately do not have the resources/time to take care of him and want to find him a home that will love him.

Story
I got him from my brother as he was about to become homeless and would no longer able to care for him. He's about 2-3 years old and is very friendly and doesn't bite, and is good with other dogs. I live with 3 roommates and don't have much space and I spend the majority of my time working, and he spends all of his time in my room. I feel like I can't properly care for him and give him the life that he deserves and he is clearly depressed as his breed needs a lot of stimulation and space. He is very high energy, affectionate and playful, but also has high anxiety and is easily stressed, when I got him from my brother he was terrified and stressed for the first couple of weeks, but then he started to settle in and his anxiety started to fade. I just want him to be somewhere where he can thrive and have the life he deserves.

Story
Shauna is a beautiful 2-year-old spayed Kelpie mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She came to rescue under heartbreaking circumstances—emaciated and exhausted, yet still devotedly caring for her five tiny puppies in the shelter. Thanks to incredible veterinary care and her own quiet strength, Shauna has made a full recovery and is now healthy, happy, and ready for the next chapter of her life. Throughout it all, Shauna has been the very definition of a good mom: sweet, patient, and endlessly loving. Her puppies are now weaned and ready for adoption, and it’s finally Shauna’s turn to be someone’s cherished companion. At about 45 pounds, she’s the perfect medium size—easy to live with and a joy to be around. Shauna is house trained, fully vet checked, current on vaccines, licensed, and microchipped. She warms up quickly, bonds deeply, and has a calm, affectionate presence that makes everyone around her feel at ease. Shauna doesn’t ask for much—just a safe home, a soft place to rest, and people to love. In return, she offers loyalty, gentleness, and a grateful heart that will remind you every day what a gift rescue truly is. Adoption Details: Shauna’s adoption fee is $400, which helps cover a portion of her medical expenses and the exceptional care she has received. For questions or to request an application, please contact Carrie on Rescue by phone or text at 480-603-7680, or by email at carrieonrescuers@hotmail.com.
