Hello, my name is Sammy! I just turned 1 a little over a month ago, and I am ready to find my forever family! I LOVE to cuddle and give kisses. Can 60 pound dogs be lap dogs? If so, sign me up! I am an Aussie mix, and I love to play, but I am strong and need someone who is patient to teach me how to play properly. I have been working really hard with my foster dad on learning how to get along with others. I do great with women, but sometimes I have to decide if I like men when I meet them. I have not lived with kids, but I met some at an adoption event and they seem okay. I get along really well with my foster pup siblings, and my foster dad has learned that I have some very specific toys that I don't like to share. Since he has figured that out, he can now teach my new family how to make sure I get along with other dogs in my new home. I would do better in a home with only medium to large dogs, and I like to chase cats, so my foster dad says it really depends on the cat, but I might be better in a home with only dogs. I also really like chasing flies, so I would like to list pest control on my resume! If you take me home, I promise I will chase them all away. I just want a place to call home. Papa comes from a loving and caring home where he has been house-broken (he never has any accidents in the house!), kennel-trained, regularly socialized, and neutered. Unfortunately, the circumstances of my life have changed, and I have to find this good boy a new and loving home. Papa is a larger pup, weighing about 60lbs., that would best complement a couple or a family with an ample outdoor space who is active and familiar with dogs- because Papa is a "dog's dog!" - He is happy and very excited with kids. - Knows some commands like "sit," "paw," and "down." - LOVES TOYS! $150 adoption fee. We're blessed to have had Jaxx for 7 years, he just turned 8 in October. We would love to find him a home with a senior seeking a companion, a couple, a person with another dog, or a family. Jaxx is incredibly patient and kind. We have 2 young children and he has been nothing but sweet despite their playful curiosities that sometimes end in accidental tugs. Unfortunately my youngest daughter has an allergy we've tried everything for and we're unable to keep him, but we're optimistic he will find the perfect home with you. As I said, Jaxx is incredibly patient with kids, does great with other dogs at the dog park, and walks/jogs well on a leash (though not as fast as when he was a younger dog). He would love to snuggle in bed with you if you desire that, however, if that is not comfortable for you, he is also so happy on his own comfy bed. He has an incredible ability to attune and understand what the house rules are (i.e.- kitchen is a boundary, etc.) and is an emotional companion
