Story
Jack will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.   Jack has come a very long way! He loves life and has made so many new friends.   Jack *must have* at least one happy, friendly, same-size dog friend in his new family. Jack takes treats gently and loves to run and play hard!   Jack requires a large private, fenced yard to enjoy off-leash play. Apartment life is not appropriate for him as he likes to share his space with humans that he knows well.   If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household. "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area or dog park or apartment/condo dog play area.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area. Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private (belongs to you), in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We will not place a dog in a home that has a "drained" or empty swimming pool (fall hazard and contributes to the propogation of mosquitos.) We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life will take them. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling a home check - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. Thank you! July 23, 2024, 6:59 pm

Story
“Princess Grace” is an easy, happy, and very lovable dog. She LOVES walks and does beautifully on leash - even with lots of "dog traffic" she is a superstar! Grace gets very excited to go for a walk and enjoys every minute of it. So it is extra fun to watch her arrive back at home and do crazy zoomies in the backyard. She also enjoys car rides, and has a lot of fun playing hide and seek with her foster mom.   Grace's foster mom describes her as "a dream dog" -- she lounges happily while foster mom does desk work, and loves to accompany her for garden chores. Grace thrives on cuddles and attention. She is a beautiful, interesting companion and a bit of an "old soul" with a silly, joyful spirit. Grace is *exceptionally* well-behaved in the home. While trustworthy and independent, she also likes check in for pets and bellyrubs.   Grace currently weighs a fluffy 55 pounds, with a healthy goal weight of a bit less than 50 pounds.  We were told that Grace became possessive of food and toys in her prior home, and that young children made her anxious. She will SHINE as an only dog with access to a large, fenced backyard of her own. (Not a candidate for apartment living or a dog-parks lifestyle.) Grace maintains a cat- and bunny-free yard, but is not an obsessive barker - even with one living nearby… Princess Grace's new home will be in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions! Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a good match for her, please complete our adoption application, detailing your experience with training and socializing herding breeds.   • "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. Hello, I'm Opal! If my beautiful eyes in two different colors weren't enough to get your attention, I'm also part Shepherd and Husky! That means I have lots of energy to run and play, so I'll need a big home that can handle all that excitement! I can also be shy at times, but don't let that fool you; I'm great with other dogs and would love a new friend to play with in my forever home! I am really breaking out of my shell here and love to meet new people. Come adopt me at Heidi's Village today!

Story
Aspen has been with me for almost 4 years. We have moved across the country twice and she is truly the best dog. She loves car rides and walks. For being two really active breeds she loves curling up on the couch almost more than running around. She isn’t one for playing with toys but she is incredibly food motivated. We moved from a house on a quarter acre lot to a one bedroom apartment.

Story
Bear was born on a farm in California from a purebred family of pedigree Australian shepherds. We got him as a puppy a year ago and he's a year old now. He has been through training school and is well trained and great with our other dog (female mini husky) and newborn baby. He's incredibly sweet and loyal. However given his breed, he's extremely high energy and either needs a home with lots of land for him to run around, or needs to be taken out to play fetch daily. We love Bear so much, but unfortunately we are moving to a city in Europe with narrow streets and no yard / few parks, which isn't fair to a shepherd like Bear that needs room to run in every day. So we're looking for the right family who has land and/or time needed to take him out to play fetch daily.

Story
Reef was one of seven, 7-month old puppies that were found abandoned on the streets in horrible condition. They were picked up by animal control and taken to the local shelter. Soon after arrival, they found themselves scheduled for euthanasia due to all of them having sarcoptic mange — a highly contagious skin infection transferable to both humans and dogs, yet treatable with medications and time. We knew these seven wondrous souls deserved a chance at life and needed our help to heal. After being saved from euthanasia, these Seven Wonders pups were kept in isolation at Heidi’s Village, where they received the intensive medical treatments they desperately needed. After two months, our young puppies are now fully recovered and ready to experience a life full of love and joy. Reef is just one of the Seven Wonders looking for families who will be patient and help them learn what having a home really means, including everything from a sense of safety to the warmth of a loving embrace. We know that happy endings are just around the corner for Reef! Each puppy’s adoption fee includes his/her completed veterinary exams, completed medical treatments, vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. To meet one of these most precious Seven Wonders who are sure to show you just how brave and awe-inspiring they truly are, visit https://lovethemallrescue.org/7-wonder-pups

Story
Petra is a very sweet border collie, however very timid. We rescued her last October from a shelter in San Luis Obispo, California. She had been taken in from the streets with her sister and had been in the shelter for a month when we rescued her. We are moving abroad and sadly unable to take her with us. She adjusted to well to our home with a yard in the Santa Monica mountains, however it's been too hot where she's currently staying with family. She needs a new family to give her patience and love as she is still timid. She's good with other pets (though keeps her distance), and has been a sweet companion to my seven-year old daughter.
