Story
Hi I'm m Lucy! Im a very loving, sweet and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with my people. I'm loyal and happiest when I'm spending time with my family. I love playing fetch and chasing a ball, and I'll never say no to a good belly rub! I'm a very quick learner, and love learning new tricks from my family. I'm kennel trained and comfortable relaxing in my crate when needed. I'm a very loyal companion. I can be a little territorial and I do my best in a home or I'm the only pet since I'm not yet comfortable with other dogs or cats. When meeting new people I may need time to warm up, but once I know you're a friend, I am very sweet and affectionate.

Story
Daisy came to us from the Yuma Humane Society and was recently returned through no fault of her own. Despite the changes she’s been through, she remains one truly awesome girl. She’s thriving in her foster home, where she’s done great with a smaller dog. Daisy is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys twice-daily strolls with her foster mom. She’s currently on a diet and making progress toward a healthier weight—with plenty of encouragement and love along the way.At 10 years young and about 82 pounds, Daisy would love a forever home that can help her shed a few more pounds and enjoy her golden years in comfort. She’s a wonderful, gentle soul looking for a soft place to land. Could that be with youTo get started in the process of meeting Daisy, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come on in to the Adoption Center to meet with an adoption counselor. You are welcome to submit an inquiry for more information about this dog, but please note that we strongly encourage potential adopters to come and see us in person and speak with an adoption counselor. We do ask for 24 hours time to respond to an inquiry (48 hours on weekends) and often a dog is adopted before you get a response back. If this dog was not good with other dogs, cats or has a restriction with kids, we will note them in the bio. Because each animal is different, we do always require introductions with resident dogs, dogs that visit frequently, and all family members. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert. Hours: Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. You can also call during our open hours to inquire if an animal has been adopted yet (480-497-8296). Thank you!All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Astro came to rescue under sad circumstances with a torn ACL, although you'd never known the little guy was in pain. He is loving, friendly and playful. He has recovered from surgery, x-rays revealed he is completely healed. and now loves to run. He likes toys, balls especially. He'll play by himself if he has to, but prefers to play with other furry friends or human friends. He loves everyone but is cat-reactive. Astro is a high energy dog so he'll need daily walks and something like a Kong to keep him busy while in his kennel. He is very good on a leash, so much so that his 6-year-old foster sister can walk him without issues. He deserves a loving and caring home he can call his own and get lots of love and attention. Like all our dogs, Astro is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, micro chipped and had extensive bloodwork done due to his surgery. Astro's adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application located under his bio on our homepage www.luckydogrescue.org

Story
Luffy is happy to be near his humans and he loves playing with his new dog friends (see video). He would enjoy middle-shool age or older children and an active household. Luffy is a willing passenger and seems to enjoy car rides. Shy at first, Luffy has proven to be a gregarious, mischievous dog with a lot of enthusiasm and a great sense of humor!  If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website, please complete our online adoption application. Discussion about a dog and scheduling a home check can't occur until we have received your complete adoption application. Adoptions are limited to the Phoenix metro area.
