Story
I got Mayo 3 years ago and due to my job I haven’t been able to give Mayo the time and attention he deserves. Mayo is an energetic and playful dog. He is friendly and always wants to be pet. He gets along with other dogs but he does require some more training. I’m looking to get Mayo into home where he gets the time and attention he deserves.

Story
Cheesy is a young, smart Australian Shepherd x Pittie mix who is ready to shine in the right home. This clever boy would thrive with an experienced, active adopter who can continue his training and socialization. Cheesy's journey hasn't been easy. In the past, he was tied to a heavy chain, which made him wary of people and other dogs. But he's come a long way! Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s extremely potty trained, knows heel, and can settle into a down position automatically if you're chatting with friends. He loves his crate and will go in on his own, especially if his bed is in it.His confidence is growing every day, and he's learning how to trust, feel love, and enjoy attention. He's highly trainable and picks up tricks quickly, making him a joy to be around. He's affectionate, loves attention, and is eager to be part of a loving home that will continue helping him build confidence and enjoy life to the fullest. All showings happen off-site with his foster, who has helped him grow into the confident, playful pup he is today. With the right adopter, Cheesy is ready to be the smart, loyal, playful companion he was always meant to be.To make an appointment to meet Cheesy, please go to yoloshelter.org/adopt.January 21, 2026, 6:48 pm

Story
Grayson is a sweet dog who is high energy and needs someone willing to work with him. He has been through a formal training course and responds well to an e-collar and does well on a leash and in a crate. He has a smaller bladder and needs to go out several times a day or he has accidents in his kennel. We just aren’t in a great position to give him enough attention with two little kids and full time work.

Story
Meet Oso: Professional Zoomie Expert A 4-year-old dog who somehow missed the memo about slowing down with age. He has the energy of a puppy and the enthusiasm to match. The moment he hits the yard, the zoomies kick in and it’s pure joy at full speed—sometimes straight into you because brakes are optional when you’re this excited. He’s an absolute blast to be around and brings nonstop smiles with his playful, goofy spirit.Oso loves chasing the ball and thinks fetch is the best game ever, even if he prefers when you do most of the retrieving. He’s a big, happy boy who adores people and enjoys car rides, making him a fun companion for adventures. Treats are the way to his heart, and he’s eager to show off his sit and lay down when snacks are involved.Because Oso can get overstimulated, he may be jumpy or mouthy when his excitement peaks. He’s also been noted to have some leash and barrier reactivity and can feel anxious when left alone, so continued training, structure, and patience will be important for his success. With the right guidance and an active home, Oso’s sweet personality and playful energy truly shine. He’s a joyful, affectionate goofball looking for someone ready to help him polish his manners while enjoying life at full speed.Oso has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
