Australian Shepherd puppies and dogs in Davis, California

This handsome guy recently met some social dogs at our shelter but was a little too frisky with the ladies.  He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

Ely is 2 years old this month. She is a bundle of energy. Loves to run up and down the fence line & chase squirrels. She loves to fetch. She knows basic commands, but only obeys if offered a treat. The ones she knows are sit, come, lay down, speak, shake. Problem behavior is her jumping, and chewing,

The dog was a rescue and is very sweet and loving but doesn’t respond well to men. We’re unsure of what happened to him but he’d be best suited as a companion for a female. He was hit by a car but had surgery and was nursed back to full health. Unfortunately, he is upset by my son’s presence so we cannot keep him but he deserves a good home and is still a young dog.

Pluto is a playful, handsome pup who is ready to make your house his home! He was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan who couldn’t bear to leave him on the streets. Thankfully, a loving foster stepped up to give him a safe place to grow and thrive. FOSTERING SAVES LIVES! ❤ Pluto was found with another puppy, Ashley, and they are currently being fostered together. Pluto appears to be an Aussie/Border Collie mix, is about 4 months old (DOB approximately 05/15/26), and weighs 22 pounds. This happy boy loves his chew toys and is learning new things every day! He already knows the commands “sit” and “no” and is learning quickly. Like any puppy, Pluto will need house training—but he’s off to a great start! He will also need leash training once he is fully vaccinated. Pluto is scheduled to be neutered, but we are accepting applications now so he can start looking for his forever family. If you’re looking for a fun, loving puppy to grow up with, Pluto may be your perfect match! **Courtesy posting: this dog is not in our care, we are just trying to help them find a homeLuna is a 3 year old collie-shepherd mix. She was found pregnant as a stray. Luna was a great mom to her puppies who have all been adopted. Now it is her turn! Luna can be shy with new people and animals, but she warms up with patience and gentleness. Luna gets along with cats and dogs. She should not be around smaller animals. Luna does well with children 10 and over. She is not recommended to be with small children because she can have herding tendencies with them.
