Story
Cheesy is a young Australian Shepherd/Pittie mix who is as smart as he is charming. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s an active, thoughtful dog who will do best with an experienced adopter ready to continue his training and help him keep building confidence.Cheesyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s early life was marked by significant neglect. He was originally found stray in April 2025 with a heavy chain on his neck and a thick wire wrapped around his muzzle, trauma that understandably left him cautious and unsure for a time. Since then, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s made tremendous progress and continues to show just how adaptable and resilient he is.He is fully potty trained, walks nicely at heel, and has great natural manners. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll often settle into a down position on his own while youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re standing around chatting, and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s very comfortable with his crate.Cheesy is highly trainable, loves to learn, and genuinely enjoys engaging with his people. He is affectionate, attentive, and eager to be part of a stable home where he can continue to thrive. He currently needs an adults-only home as the only pet. With the right match, Cheesy has everything it takes to be an incredibly loyal, fun, and rewarding companion. To set Cheesy up for success, all appointments are scheduled off-site with his primary handler. Story
Junco was found stray covered in mud in the outskirts of Woodland. He had no identification or microchip and no one has come to claim him. He can be a bit shy when we try to leash him for walks but his love for treats always wins him over and he cooperates so gently.Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s built like a jumbo Australian Shepherd with just a little nubbin for a tail, but has the size and floof of a Great Pyrenees. He has an EXCELLENT â&#194&#128&#194&#156heelâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 on walks with zero pulling. He even slows down to match your pace and will sometimes even press his big floofy body against your legs during the walk.He is somewhat alert when he sees other dogs and turkeys when walking around the shelter, but he has not barked and does not try to pull or lunge. Instead, he presses closer to you to make sure everyone is OK before continuing on his walk.Schedule an appointment to meet Junco at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.org February 17, 2026, 1:16 am

Story
Abby is an energetic Siberian husky and Australian Shepherd mix. She is sweet with dogs and people. She is 3 years old. I got her at the Bradshaw dog shelter. I am giving her up because I live in an apartment and she needs a place with a yard she needs to go outside. Her favorite activity is to go for a walk. She would be great for a family and she is spayed. She is a high spirited dog lots of energy. But when it is hot outside she lays down and is very still. She is sweet but she will make a great watchdog.

Story
Courtesy Listing – Lou Name: Lou Age: 7 months Sex: Neutered male Lou is a young, friendly pup looking for the right home through a courtesy listing. We are thinking he is probably a border collie/terrier mix. He is vaccinated, crate trained, and potty trained, and he does well with other dogs and is kid friendly. We are rehoming Lou due to his prey drive as he has killed a chicken and continues to focused on them, so he will need a home that can safely manage this behavior and does not have small livestock or free-roaming small animals. He currently has no medical concerns. ***Please note: Lou is not located at the shelter and is not under the shelter’s care. This is a courtesy post to help his owner find a suitable placement. All inquiries will be directed to the owner.*** Contact: Lauren laurenblack721@gmail.com If you’re interested in Lou and believe your home may be a good fit, please reach out directly to the owner using the contact information above.  January 21, 2026, 6:48 pm

Story
Dante is a dazzler! With his lush, shiny coat and expressive, bright eyes, he sparkles. He did great on a recent day trip, loading and unloading into the car easily. Being a lover boy, he gave plenty of kisses to start the journey. On a long walk in the country, he met a herd of cows. He studied them carefully before barking at one that came close to the fence. He also barked at some dogs on an adjacent trail. He could hardly contain his excitement with all the new sights and became a little overstimulated, but he was easy to redirect. He may not be a good fit for a home with small children. All in all, he's an adorable Muppet who will be an amazing companion for an experienced handler who can give him the structure he needs to be his best. He'll always be happy to join you on long walks on country roads. To make an appoint to meet our very handsome Dante, please go to yoloshelter.org/adopt. January 21, 2026, 6:48 pm
